Does anyone remember a post about free fonts for scrapbooking? I thought I bookmarked it and I can't find it now. I think it was last week sometime. I downloaded a real cool font and now I want to see if there are more that I would like.
How about this one http://www.1001freefonts.com/index.htm after you <ENTER> you can browse alphabetically. You need WinZip or an unzipping software. I love looking for new fonts for my cards and for scrapbooking. You can find a font for any occasion here. Have fun looking.
Emily~I also love those 12x12 vellum sheets with sayings all over them from Michaels & JoAnns, 33 cents on sale with sixty or so different fonts/ sayings on each. Oh and those vellum stacks books are nice, too, with a coupon, of course. I'm all about vellum titles/journaling right now, too~
I am not very computer literate and have tried to use the free font sites before. How do you use them?? I wasn't able to download. And where do you save the font so that you can use it (does that make sense??)
Ok, now I'm intrigued... I've never downloaded fonts but am very interested in trying. Is it safe? And would they work in all applications? (Like Print Shop, which I use for lots of things?) My dh is always fearful (borderline paranoid) about downloading anything free because of possible viruses/worms, etc. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with any of these sites? Oooo, I'm excited about this one! Please, someone with expertise, educate those of us who have limited knowledge about this....
My computer checks for viruses and does a scan if I try to download anything. I did install a couple of the fonts from the links people gave me from here. So far no viruses. My husband is an engineer and has all this extra software for viruses and a firewall. That being said, I guess ya never know unless you try it and get burned!
As for the people that don't remember how to install the fonts, I think you have to open your control panel, find fonts, click on fonts to open, then file open, install. We have windows xp and the wizard sort of took over and did it for me when I tried. Some of them have to be extracted then installed. HTH.
Ok I have downloaded fonts before but I have forgotten how. Can anyone refresh my memory.

Here's a link to the instruction for installing fonts from Microsoft. If you have any questions with instructions shoot me a message and I will walk you through it. HTH.. ;)
This is wonderful font site! The cool thing about this site is that you can preview your text in the selected font before you download it. http://www.dafont.com/en/theme.php

I also buy fonts occasionally from http://www.scrapnfonts.com. They sometimes have a pretty good sale going on for 50% off their fonts. Or you can buy bundles of 30 fonts for $29.99.
