I understand what you mean about the eco issue. I like to think that people keep my cards and don't throw them away. I'm very big on keeping them. But at some point, they would be garbage, I guess.

Just my 2 cents here. I don't know if anyone else uses these but I use those sticky back foam sheets. I do have to add double sided tape to the one non sticky side. But you can get a package of 40 sheets at Joann's. They are 6 x 9" and come in a wide variety of colors. I can pick a color that matches what I am working on so it is pretty much invisible. Plus, I can cut them as small or as large as I want. They are 10.99 but with a 50% off coupon they are a steal!

Hi! I just got into making shaker cards and using more foam tape on my projects in general and I've been using window glazing tape that my DH gave me quite a while ago. It works great and is relatively inexpensive.
I'm going to be needing more soon and I found this roll of 1/4" x 1/16" thick 150' for $14.99 with free shipping on ebay :

FOAM TAPE

Not only do they have varying sizes but if you buy 2 you get one free as well!

Anywho...I love a good deal and so I just thought I'd share this!!

I notice that they have black foam tape as well, which is wonderful. Have you ordered from this company yet? I've never used window glazing tape so wondering how it compares to regular foam mounting tape.

Thanks for the link!

Hi Karen!

I just placed an order for one roll of the white tape 1/4" wide x 1/16" thick and I will let you know as soon as I receive it (It says it should be here by Monday) !

The window glazing tape I have works great I think....but I've never really used any other kind ...I have used pop dots and I think its just as easy to use....I will post a picture of what I have left in a little bit!!

Here's a question for you about the Window Glazing Tape for those of you that use it... I use Uline Foam Tape, which is also for industrial use. It holds SO WELL! Once applied, you can't remove it. But, the waxy paper that you have to remove, is VERY difficult to get off. So, I wonder if the waxy paper on the Window Glazing Tape is difficult to get off or not???

Now, we are never going to find foam tape at Dollar Tree again, lol.

I love DT's foam tape to. Remember a lot of times it is not in the craft section but automotive/hardware section.

I also use fun foam. I get the big stacks from the kid's craft department. I add a bit of Tacky Glue or Double Sided Tape to adhere it to my cards. I love doing this because I can match my card colors to the foam tape- Red foam to Red Cardstock, etc.... You can get a big thing of foam for about $5. Probably can snag some good deals with kid's Summer Crafting deals to be had now.

I have a big stash of fun foam because I was using it for a long time. But no matter what post office I take my cards to (I have 5 close by), they consider the envelope to be "too inflexible". That's with only one layer of foam. If you put two layers on top of each other, then it's too thick to go through "the slot".

At least with strips of tape, or with foam dots, there is more give.

Thanks, I wondered about that also. I've read reviews on different mounting tape brands with liners that are apparently hard to remove.

Hi all! I am back to report on my window glazing foam tape purchase. I did not receive it until yesterday... it was on my porch overnight! lol
It was sent in a bubble sleeve taped inside a pizza box. It arrived in perfect condition!
Now about the tape. It’s exactly like the other roll I have maybe a tiny bit thinner...I bought the 1/4” x 1/16” thick roll....I wish I’d got the wider roll but I think it will be easier to use this roll on smaller projects.
The first picture is the new roll vs the old roll for thickness:

The second picture is the old roll vs the new roll for width:

The third picture is a picture of the roll on my full size paper trimmer for a size comparison:

Next time I may try the wider , thicker roll but overall I am very happy with this purchase!
