Question Flocking Help!

Hi! I'm trying to make flocking look like a snow hill on a Christmas card I'm making but I can't seem to get it thick enough to hide the light blue colour of the background paper. What type of adhesive or glue should I use for it to look like fluffy snow? I really want the fluffiness to come across.

I would use some white ink, or pencil, or paint to color the area white first, then add the glue, then the flock. That way, you will not see the blue of the paper thru it. I often use my EK success glue pen to add flock, which is the same thing I use for glitter. I think most any glue would work if you apply it in a thin, even layer.

Thanks! Does the paper "warp" with the EK success glue pen glue?

You could emboss the area with white EP, and then you definitely wouldn't have a problem with glue warping the paper, as the embossing should make a good layer between the paper and glue. I am sure I remember Kittie747 saying she used white EP under Flower Soft or something similar, and she does wonderful snow scenes.

You could also cut white cardstock in your "hill" shape, adhere your flock, and then attach the white piece to your cardfront.

Is Flocking and Flower Soft basically the same thing?

Flocking looks like velvet and gives a smooth soft feel wherever you apply it; Flower Soft is hard to describe, but is tiny, prickly (but soft) and adds a 3D effect where you apply it.
