Default Fiskars Easy Stamp Press

I found this press that looks to use with unmounted stamps to give it that cushion for the clear & bare rubber stamps.

Has anyone used this yet? And if you have do you like it? I know I have seen where some use mouse pad for the cushion when stamping. But am curious on the other.

TIA

Fran

GET IT!! You will love it. I really enjoy using the stamp press. great for using multiple stamps for an overall image or if you are using alot of text. Also no rocking or smearing. I have both sizes.

my husband just bought me one and I haven't opened it yet. I too was wondering how good it was before I begin playing with it. Just love that man he is always bringing me home some stamping goodies.

Hi.......I've had mine for several years and don't care for it. It's rather large and I found it difficult to line up on my projects. I found I had to anchor down my card before putting the whole press over my card. I felt it was just too much of a hassle to get used to.

I listed it in the Sell section of this website, but no one was interested. I do use just he small part to attach my bare rubber stamps to the just hold that and stamp on my card.

I guess it's all in just getting used to. Works for some and not others. Oh well at least it was a very inexpensive tool to purchase.

The stamp press does come in two sizes. The original stamp press has a 4"X6" surface for stamping and has removable layout plates. You can switch out the layout plates, which is something you'll like if you want to save your design for later while your working on another design.

Fiskars later released the Compact Stamp Press. This has a stamping area of 3"X5". It does not have a removable layout plate.

Both these systems are designed to be used with unmounted stamps. A stamping mat or some type of cushion is an absolute must with the stamp press. Because you are stamping a large area, there is simply just more room for error in terms of ink distribution as a result of pressure (or lack of it). The stamping mat and proper pressure will help ensure that you get a good image when you press down.

It is a great tool, particularly if you have a multi-stamp design and/or if you are producing more than one card (like when you are making holiday cards, invitations, etc.).
