Default Favorite Stencils?

I'd love to add some stencils to my list of things to get. I don't have any yet. Any recommendations? What are your favorites? And where did you purchase them?

What exactly do you want to do with the stencils?

I like the stencils that I can use with embossing paste or ink just enough to add a bit more texture. These are my favorite and the ones I grab the most:
Crafter's Workshop Mini Tile Texture
Tim Holtz Dot Fade

But I also love leaves and Dyan Reaveley's Leaf Flourish is my favorite of all.

Ellie, I could not possibly pick favorites. I have stencils from crafter's workshop and from Ranger's designers, but also from other companies (see the links below)

And be careful what you ask for LOL - you might get really hooked on stencils once you check them all out.

There are so many incredible stencils out there now by so many incredible companies. And the stencils styles vary tremendously so it all depends on what YOU like.

Some of the companies that you might now know about that have stencil lines are:
joggles: Joggles Stencils & Masks - Save 15% at Joggles.com
stencil girl: StencilGirl Products for people who love stencils like we love stencils
artist cellar: Stamps & Stencils for Mixed Media, Art Journaling and More from Artistcellar
memory box; Memory Box Stencils

Have FUN

I've ordered from Joggles and she has lots of videos showing how she uses stencils with various products like sprays.

Thanks everyone! I want to try them with spray inks but also with modeling paste. I hardly buy anymore crafty things because I have too much stuff, but these would be something new and exciting.

They are fun. And you can also use them to REMOVE ink/spray or acrylic paint (that's on top of gesso) so that the stenciled area is lighter than the background. That looks almost like batik.

Michelle Ward is one of the Stencil Girls, although she sells her stencils also at her Green Pepper Press site. Sometimes Stencil Girls have bargain packs so I like to check there too.
