There is a recipe my daughter found on line...1 1/2 Tblsp baby shampoo, 2 Tblsp baby oil and 8 oz filtered water. You can use either baby oil or glycerine. If you use 2 Tbsp of Rose Water it is supposed to smell like the SU stuff. I made some and love it! We call it "Stamp Crack" Has anyone seen Beauty Shop? HA, that's why we call it that. "Just a little something I mix up in my kitchen" ;)

I use the SU cleaner, but I dilute it by almost half with distilled water. Work just fine! I refill the smaller bottle with the cleaner and water so I don't dilute the full strength larger bottle.

I make my own with distilled water, baby shampoo and glycerine. Found the recipe hear at Splitcoast. So much cheaper than buying it from a company. Also since I forget to wash my stamp cleaner pad I can just add a little water and rub my stamps on it and they come clean so much of the time!
Ultra Clean is my favorite. I liked the Stampin' Up cleaner for rubber, but I didn't feel like it did a good job on my clear stamps. Ultra Clean does a fabulous job cleaning both rubber and clear stamps.
I have some from my local stamp shop called "EZ Duz It" . It's a strange pink color and it separates into a kind of clear layer and an opaque layer, so it needs to be shaken, and it smells kind of like windex.
It's awesome. Even removes Staz-On, and guaranteed not to damage clear blocks.
I also found a stamp cleaner recipe online. I use it; smells and works great. And lasts a long time.
2 cups distilled water
2 TBL Rose Water (purchased at health store)
1 TBL Baby wash (I used a generic brand)
I put everything in an empty clean Windex bottle and shake it up. Then I put some in a smaller, manageable spray bottle for stamp cleaning.
I found Rose Water in Market Street (natural food store) here in TX. I'm guessing that any natural food store should carry it. Be sure to buy the water, not the oil.
If you use craft ink or Tim Holtz distress ink, StazOn cleaner is the best. Then I follow up w/regular stamp cleaner.
I use the stuff from HL - I think it's Ranger. Works well, less expensive than SU and smells good. A bottle lasts me a year or so, which makes it not worth making my own.

Baby wipes for me most of the time.
StazOn cleaner is good, but is not recommended for most photopolymer/clear stamps. Ultraclean with also removed StazOn and is suitable for clear stamps. It smells and has a horrible oily feel, but it does the job like nothing else does for really dirty stamps. It's especially good with the metallic inks and StazOn white which is awful to get off. So it gets my vote as the best I've tried.
I'll also just use dilute washing-up liquid and a soft toothbrush if I have a bunch of dirty stamps needing some care.
Another vote for Ultra clean here. I bought my large bottle from Gina K. Designs over a year ago. A little goes a long way plus it stays "juicy" on my stamp scrubber longer. Its kinda oily but the stamps get totally clean.....no stains from black ink....love that!!!

Where do you purchase the Ultra Clean, a store or online? Approximately how much does it cost?
I think I may order some from Gina K . then. I have seen some recommendations on blogs for it as well. Do you use it full strength or can you dilute it to make it last a bit longer?
I use baby wipes. I haven't worried about cleaning my stamps since I read a comment by a very talented, artistic person who has been stamping for decades. She said: "I never clean my stamps. I stamp off excess ink on scrap paper and that's it."

Talking about cleaning problems have you tried Gloves in a Bottle? A little bit of this on your hands before you start stamping will really make a big difference on cleaning up especially around your fingernails. Most drugs stores carry it.
