Alcohol based or water based?

For alcohol I am very happy with my Bics, Sharpies and Prismacolor markers. I get beautiful colors and they work really well.

For water based, I really like my Marvy markers- I have some of the le plumes and some of the larger ones. Marvy's have very nice tips on both ends and come in a large range of colors (10 for water markers.

I use Tombow dual brush waterbased markers, they blend nicely (not like copics which are alcohol based) and come in 100's of colors. I stopped stamping for 7 years and when on restarted only a few had dried out but my LePlume markers by Marvy and my fat markers by Marvy had all dried out. They can be purchased from the MerriArtist for $1.91 each.

I love my copics. I have only had them a little over a month and am so in love with them. I wish I had bought them a long time ago. The blend beautifully and the color is just so much more intense than other mediums. Even when I browse the gallery the cards that seem to jump off the page at me are all colored with copics. I also just got a compressor so I can airbrush with my copics and it is fantastic! I would highly recommend these!

I seldom if ever use markers, but when I do it is Stampin' Up directly on the rubber when more than one color is needed. I don't love their markers, but I do love that the ink matches the paper.

Wink Thanks

thanks everyone. I have been stamping for years, but have really started loving the intense colors, with blending. I've gotten a few tombow markers. I will give the copic markers a try before committing. I have used Zig and Marvy in the past.
