Default epic 6 question about die cutting

Hi ,I have just bought an epic 6 die cut/embossing machine and I am not sure which is the correct way to feed the die cuts through the machine. I bought some nesting circles .They are metal on one side and the other side has a white tape/foam on it . I put in the light grey cutting platform then the circle then the paper and put the cutting mat on last. My mat and platform are getting marked. Is this correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You put your die with the cutting side up! Your cutting mat (clear) should have marks in it, but your platform should be fine.

If you have any questions about your new epic, be sure to check out the Quickutz website. They have videos and a great form. I am having a blast with my new epic and have learned so much from their site. Also check out youtube.
Have fun.
