Red face Embossing Diffuser?

Has anyone used the new Embossing Diffuser by Sizzix? I think I have seen similar thing made by someone else. Does anyone know it? does anyone have a comparison? TIA.

I'd never heard of it but just Googled to find out what it was. Looks to me like Sizzix have just made a commercial version of the thing that people have been doing for ages with die cut chipboard or things like photo mats. Check out the Double Embossing tutorial in Resources for an example "how to".

HTH!

It is pretty easy to do on your own. I checked out the double embossing tutorial and it worked great. Good luck.

I have the Sizzix Embossing Diffuser Set #1 and have used it. It contains 3 different shaped diffusers (circle and 2 ovals). It does a decent job leaving an area with no texture when embossing with an embossing folder. I am in the process of purchasing Set #2 which includes an arch, rectangle and square. Hope this helps.

I purchased this set of "frames" by Darice. I like it a lot, and I think it does the same thing:

I did a post here on my blog- shows you what they look like, and what you can achieve with them.

I have the Darice frames, too and really like them. They are easy to use and as I recall they were pretty inexpensive.
