If embossing with craft ink, just stamp first then cover with clear embossing powder, then heat. That's it. Easy. Love those craft inks!!!

Sorry, didn't finish the thought.

No heat and stick is necessary. The craft ink is sticky enough to hold the powder.

The white craft ink does not stamp as bold as the white embossing powder. White is the one color I prefer to have the EP for. Well, Black EP is superior also. But both will do in a pinch.

Have fun with the flakes!

What's the difference in the outcome of using craft ink and embossing powder versus versamark and embossing powder? Does it look the same either way? I have a customer wanting me to use craft ink to emboss and I guess I just don't get what the thing is about it if you can do the same thing with versamark. Just another way to use craft ink?

Thanks.

I think most of the time when people emboss with the craft ink, it is so you can emboss in any of the 48 colors by using clear EP over it. I have heard that the metallic pigment inks look more bold when you use them for embossing in gold, silver or copper instead of VersaMark.

Hmmm I haven't compared white craft ink embossed with clear versus, versa mark with white embossing powder. I would think they have to be very similar. I use the craft ink with clear embossing powder it is a great way to be able to emboss with different colors and only one embossin powder.

Oh and heat and stick powder is good to use with glitter. Stamp with versa mark or use the versa mark pen over a stamped image (if you want to stamp in a color first) sprinkle the heat and stink on , heat, then add glitter and heat one more time to set.

White craft ink embossed with clear comes out looking ivory! I did this once, and was pleasantly surprised with the result because the white ink looked a bit too stark.
