I thought I had this somewhere, but if I do it must be on my old laptop. I'll check for it later. It doesn't look to hard though; just a simple box. I don't see any rails or anything to hold the stamp pads. It looks like they're just stacked on top of each other.

This is a great idea. I have something similiar, but didn't make it. I bought a set of wall boxes (3 different sizes) for 12.99 at xmas tree shops. I mounted them on the wall length wise and I can fit 48 pads in the largest...perfect for Stampin' Up pads. Then I used the medium for In Colors and Neutrals. Here is a pic. Works great for me since I have little counter space in my office/stamp room.

This is copied from her directions:
Materials:
Two (2) 20"x30" inch pieces of foam core board
Hot glue gun
Utility knife or box cutter
Long straight edge
12" Ruler
Sharp pencil
From one piece of foam core, you will need five pieces. Measure carefully, because this entire
sheet will be used, with none left over. There is very little margin for error. Measure carefully,
then measure carefully again. All pieces are 20" wide.
FOAM BOARD 1
11"x20" *** BACK
5"x20" *** INSIDE BASE
4"x20" *** TOP
24 cm x 20" ***INSIDE SLANT
Leftover 20" piece *** TOP FRONT
FOAM BOARD 2
7/8"x20" piece –BOTTOM FACING
Four pieces 3.75"x9" ***DIVIDERS
Two SIDE pieces
Six BOTTOM SUPPORTS
hope that helps!!!

I made one of these - well sort of! I did mess up a bit, but it does the trick very well! Definately worthwhile doing. I may even try another to hold all those 'other' pads - i.e. craft, versamark, etc. etc...

I bought mine at an artist supply/frame store. Anyone that has a Pat Catan's near them can purchase it there in their artist supply area.

Thanks so much Stamp1. Your link worked for me. I'm definitely going to give this a try.
I especially wish to thank Stacey L. King for coming up with the original design and being so generous to type up directions with the actual measurements and diagrams.
I can only imagine the trial and error it took to come up with this design.
Thanks again ladies!

You're welcome Teryl. I'm going to have to make the inkpad holder. All of my inkpads are currently kept in a Sterilite storage box. Not easy to find the color I want when it's way down at the bottom!

Great idea. My DH made me a wooden ink pad holder, but I love the ribbon one! Gotta try it.

Amanda, we'd love to see your pen shelf. Could you post a photo? Also, may I ask how long it took to cut, build, etc.? Thank you.

It didn't take very long maybe an hour. But keep in mind I have a 2yo and a
4yo. So a person without little helping hands could turn one of these out in 30min or so.
It's a great storage unit. Big $$$$ saver!

I was taking a look at the template...you could probably use that similarly with wood....instead of hot glue, use nails, or wood glue maybe?

Does anyone have the directions on the modified ribbon holder. I so want to make that one. I hate my ribbon storage. It takes up way too much room.

By the way, the foam core board is on sale this week at Michael's for $0.97. Can you believe, an ink pad holder for $2?
