Default Distress Ink

How are these different from regular inks?

Besides coming in so many FABULOUS colors! The pad is slightly raised a bit for "direct to paper " application.

These inks are also reactive to water--spritz them after you have applied them to paper and watch the magic work (actually, the ink color starts spreading on the paper--obviously not a good choice if you plan to watercolor your stamped images). FAB inks!

Thanks Mel and PJ. I am taking an online class and it is in the supply list. If you had to start with just one color, what would it be?

These are among my favorite inks. I love Broken china (kind of like a vibrant more electric Cool Caribbean) and Tea Dye to give things a vintage look I use it on almost everything. Those inks are used in pics in my gallery.

These inks are absolutely marvelous in many ways. First the colors are not as vibrant but soft to add soft looks to paper. I like to "distress" the edges; give it the old look. By using these inks in the background pushes the background back so the image in the front "pops." I truly use these inks more than any of the other multitudes that I have with the exception of Brilliance Black and Stazon Black. You can also use these inks with the alcohol inks as the colors are the same "depth" of color and work well. They are great with vintage cards/ Basic Grey paper. Awesome! So, yes, I did get all the colors and have never regretted the purchase.

I have Tea Dye and Sepia-love to use them on Victorian images-with a spritz of water.

do you stamp with the ink, or stamp with something else like staz-on and then distress with the ink?

Cool

Because of their distressing nature, they don't stamp images well. I use them after my stamping to distress or ad color texture to the stamped panel.
