Dave closes up shop when he runs out of inventory and ships. When stock comes in he reopens the store.

He needs to hire help. Closing all the time is no way to run a business.
He sent out an email in November sometime stating he was taking family time for the Holidays.
He has hired help.
He has a full time job and he makes these dies as a side job. I am just grateful he is doing this. He can quite suppling these dies at anytime.
He did not expect this side job to turn into a full time job.
I give him kudos for what he is doing for us crafters.

Well, I ordered 3 die sets this morning after months of waiting for the site to open. I decided this afternoon that I better get one more set while I can. And the site is already closed. Oh well. I'm really happy that I got what I did. I'll just have to keep watching. I'm not willing to pay around $100 for some of his die sets that people are selling on eBay. Good luck to everyone!

Dies by Dave site open again this morning. However, many sets have sold out. But still lots to choose from. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, especially to those like me that had waited months for the site to open. Good luck!
Dave emailed today and stated the Stampin has shut him down. Looking for support on contacting SU to allow him to continue his part time job. Which is good for SU and HIM!!

I knew this eventually would happen. I am glad I got the butterfly, ornamental pine and lovely as a tree. Oh can you believe SU has retired lovely as a tree-Shocker!

Oddly enough, Lovely as a Tree did NOT retire. Again.
Oh Seriously! When I went to look at the retirement list I was actually looking at the regular stamp line. Wondered why so many stamps were retiring

Phew, I got my lovely as a tree die set when he was open earlier this year, after missing the opening time and again.
This is such a shame for those of us wanting dies that SU! has thus far refused to offer. If Dave can make it cost effective to produce them, so can SU! (although I would be more than happy to continue supporting Dave). I'm sure there are patent/copyright laws involved, but still, it makes SU! seem like the big giant beating up on the little guy. Not good PR for SU!.
