Question Die Machine

I have had a Cuttlebug for sometime. I think it is wearing out. It embosses okay but doesn't cut real well. I would like to get a new machine but don't know what is best. I want it to be versatile enough to accept most dies. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks!

I bought a BigShot to replace my Cuttlebug and you know what? I still haven't gotten rid of that little green bug. I just love it too much ;)

I love my BigKick (same machine as the Big Shot). Sizzix has the red and white one on sale for $49.99 (The Start of Something You. | Sizzix.com), which is quite a deal.

I've had a cuttlebug for years and just recently bought a big shot. Got it from oh my crafts $59.99 plus they have discount codes. I have pre ordered Tim Holtz Wordplay and figured out it didn't look like would fit In my CB. I love the big shot. Mainly because it holds still while cranking through. Wish I'd got it a long time ago.

After much work my CB also had issues with cutting, so it was time to get something new. First I got a CB, mainly because I could buy one straight away and not wait for shipping. But I really wanted to try the Bigshot, so I eventually got one of those too. It sat off to the side until I was ready, and I kept using the new, but familiar CB. Eventually I pulled the BS out to cut with some Sizzix dies, and it worked as it was suppose to. I kept using the CB for my thin dies though. That was until I bought my first lot of Cherry Lynn dies. CB had a few issues with the CL dies. Nothing terrible, but there was a bit of fussing involved. So I put them thru the BS. WOW. Clean cut, first time, and so easy to crank thru. And while the wider opening is great, I love the extra length in the cutting platform too. It can handle those 8" dies without having to angle them from corner to corner as you need to do with the CB.
