When I first started scrapbooking I fell in love with the Cricut. That was seven years ago. And although I have decreased the amount of cartridges for this system, my stash of punches has incredibly increased and now I am starting to purchase dies... I love these tools for their different purposes and uses. I also enjoy card making too so for me having a variety of tools is great.
Well it had me thinking... Does anyone else love and enjoy using a variety of tools to for die cutting OR are you a crafter that loves to use one type of die cutting tool?
Love to hear your thoughts!

I mostly use edge punches and my Zing for all my diecutting. I have a few dies, but I prefer using my Zing to cut shapes. Before my Zing I used my old CraftRobo. I really love my electronic diecutters. I have unlimited shapes in all the sizes I could ever want. The only thing I'm not very good at is using it to cut edges - hence the edge punches.
I have a small collection of punches, found I was limited by what I could buy and use due to arthritus. Love dies but there are soooooo many coming out now, and I keep falling in love with them all and its just so costly especially since there is the postage to take into account to Australia. For my birthday I got a Silhouette and I am loving that you can buy cheap files but also can make your own files and there are so many free downloads that now I feel as though I am in heaven. The only time its not great is if its for a design that needs a stamp and die but then I suppose I will just have to bite the bullet and purchase as of course every item is needed (wanted) to allow us to reach our full potential - yes!!
Yes, seven years ago complete Cricut girl. I loved Sizzix dies and punches. Fast forward today I want my scissors to fussy cut and one electronic die cutter. I keep thinking about this question too. What the heck happened? I was a die cutting junkie!
I love my Cricut, I have too as I have spent too much money on it. I love my Big Kicks...and my Slice. The Ebosser is a bit new to me and I have used it only to emboss large folders.
Die companies? Cottage Kuts, QuickKuts and I am liking a few of the Tattered Lace dies.
I use punches, mainly my edge punches but I love my dies. Have lots from various companies. I own a Cricut but never use it. I find it quicker to use the dies or punches.
I own both a Big Shot and a Grand Calibur so size wise I have them all covered.
I love my silhouette and wish I had gotten it at the very start. I do use my Big Shot just about every day. My punches not so much, maybe once a month if then.
I've never had any of the electronic cutting machines, just my trusty Cuttlebug and lots of dies. I have accumulated quite a few punches, which I still use, especially the many Martha Stewart border and edge punches. I also don't mind hand cutting things with my Cutterbee scissors. I guess you can call me old school (and old, too.)
I really enjoy making things using the hands on process. I also sew and crochet.

I might be way off on this, but if I remember correctly there is a way that you can stamp and then create a cut to go around your stamped image. Maybe I learned this from an Archiver's employee??? As they are out of business I can't double check this for you. It would allow you to get a cut similar to having a die-cut. I think you could do this kind of process with the SCAL program and the Silhouette is a similar kind of program. You might want to do a little research and see if you could find instructions. Also, perhaps there would be Splitcoast member and Silhouette owner that may have some information to share. It might be worth asking on the forums. HTH
I use my Silhouette for most of my die cutting, if I have a quick and simple shape (like scalloped circles) I'll use my Cuttlebug but mostly I emboss with my 'Bug. Love my Silhouette!
OMG....let's not even go there...lol I have the Cameo, eClips and Pazzles Inspiration (did have the CraftRobo, but gave it to my home nurse last year) as well as the Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Grand Calibur and just ordered the Fiskars Fuse.....not to mention all of the punches and dies I have. I'm like a previous poster...I have issues!!!!
I know right?? what the heck is wrong with us. With all of those things that I have, do you know what I use the most?? my scissors. lol I love my cutter bee's. lol
