Default Decorating lunch box tins

I have been looking at the beautiful samples on the gallery and would really like to attempt one myself. I was hoping you could tell me how this is done! How is the paper adhered? Are the tins painted first and if so what kind of paint is used?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks......Mona

I got a ProvoCraft one from Michaels, and the white paint on it is matte. I haven't yet had the guts to decorate it (what if I don't do it just perfectly and in a way that I will love it for all time??? no pressure!), but when I do I was planning on just using patterned paper, ribbon, CS, and plenty of double stick tape

I used modge podge to adhere the paper to the can. I painted the lid with making memories paint and then coated the paint with modge podge. I didn't use mp on top of the paper, just on the back side that attaches to the tin. It works really well and doesn't come undone and is much cheaper than sticky tape! Then I used ribbon, brads, paper flower, (or prima flowers, whatever you want! Have fun!
