Hi! I love the effect the cuttlebug has. I believe I got a card today that used it-and loved it. However, I am on a very limited income (which is a shame for someone who likes to make cards as much as I do).
To me the regular cost is prohibitive(and even the sale price I saw last weekend was too- especially if you include folders and all).
My question for you all is- how many think the cuttlebug is really worth it?
I think the CB is worth every penny. I use mine so much but only for embossing. I love that the folders are only 5 to 6 bucks. I can't get enough of mine. Just make sure you get it on sale or use a coupon....that's always helpful!!!

When I wanted mine JoAnn's was having a sale that my DH just happened to catch.
I'm not sure if you can use a Michael's coupon on the Cuttlebug but you can go on their website and sign up for emails or sometimes they'll have them in the paper.
I saw a CB on sale on a website the other day but now I can't remember...if I find it I'll post back or pm you!
Hope you get a CB and a good deal on it!

I just discovered the CB earlier this year and bought one as soon as I found a sale and coupons to get it reasonably (JoAnn Etc store). The folders have all been on sale for $3 apiece--what a bargain! I only use it for the embossing; I have no cut-out cartridges yet. My mom, sister, and mother-in-law all LOVE it too, so I bought Mom and MIL their own CB's for Christmas. One site advertised here on SCS--Happy Scrappers--had them for $50 apiece, no shipping since I spent $100. If you can swing it, I'm sure you'll be happy with it!
Definately worth it! I've had mine about 6 months and LOVE it! I bought it with a M's coupon (came in Sunday paper) and I buy more folders/dies when they are on sale (pretty often). The cuttlebug is one of my favorite tools right now and SO easy to use. I also love that you can use any brand die/folders in it.

I bought mine just so I could use the embossing folders, but I also have a couple of snowflake dies that emboss as they cut. I love my CB and like my other tools, wouldn't be without it.

Yes, you can use a coupon on them at M's. (At least you can here in Canada!) I got a lovely 50% off coupon in the mail & used it up to buy my bug! Don't regret a cent of it - I love it!

I just got mine from Creative Express too! It's on it's way via the mail so I haven't used it yet but I do have some ideas for its debut! I haven't heard anything but positive about it too so I say "go for it"!
Totally worth it! Just got mine about a week and a half ago! Got it for 50% off at Michaels!!! M's has coupons in Sunday's paper most weeks. However, for the last few months I've been getting their sales paper in my regular weekly junk mail....maybe that's just for the Christmas season?? You can't get M's coupon on their site though.
Hobby Lobby also has 40% off coupons most weeks, you can get that coupon from their site www.hobbylobby.com

Thanks everyone so far!!
I think you have me convinced and talked into it! I will look in the paper for the coupon and sometime travel to Michaels to see what I can do.
I hope it's easy to figure out or I may have to post a new thread on how to use it!lol
(Of course, my shopping for it won't happen until I get the Christmas money I'm hoping for!!
Thanks again- and keep posting!! (In case I talk myself out of it!!)
Now that I have it I LOVE it, its a wonderful tool and I'm surprised they are what most of us believe to be pretty reasonably priced. Hope it works out for you!!!
You "NEED" a Cuttlebug!! And it's worth every penny!! You can always wait for a coupon for Michael's or AC Moore or wait until they're on sale. You won't regret buying it once you do.
One more vote for YES you NEED it. I bought mine over a year ago and have never regretted it! I use it almost daily and LOVE it!!! It adds so much to cards!
Thanks again everyone!! YOu really do have me convinced that I need to get one. Now I just have to find the cuttlebug fairy to help me finance one! (Ha!Ha!)
Keep posting and maybe I can convince my family that it's the only way to use my money!!

I enjoy my Cuttlebug a LOT! I love embossed backgrounds and I love my Nestabilities! If you are on a limited budget, you could definitely afford the embossing folders as they are only $5-$6 each (or cheaper if they are on sale or you use a coupon). You should be able to get a Cuttlebug for 50% off using a coupon for about $40 + tax at Michaels.
I don't know what your budget is, so I don't know if that is doable for you.
When I wanted the set of SU markers, I couldn't bear to spend the $120 to get them. I finally asked my brother and mother to go in together and get them for me for Christmas. Do you have any relatives you could hint to about the Cuttlebug? That might be a fun way to get one.
