I was in my Michael's today and they were re-setting the store. They had moved all their Cuttlebug stuff to a larger spot and had a lot of empty (but labeled) pegs -- things I haven't seen before. It looks like TONS of new stuff is coming and I assume it will be introduced at CHA next week (Jan 2!!
I saw 2x6 (dies, I think), a lot (like about 20) new 2x2 single items (embossing, I think because they were only $4.99), and about 9 items in the $20.99 range!
OH Good eye Sharon!
I was at my local Mikes today and things were looking bare so maybe they are about to revamp it too! I was just wishing they would come out with some more stuff soon!

Oh NO!!! I had convinced myself I DID NOT need one based on what they were offering. I may be the only one here who hopes the new products are not very awesome! There may be 50% coupons for President's day though....
Crossing my fingers for some larger general shape dies. Not so crazy about the big head, little body baby and animals out there. (Not my taste, but I am sure that there are others who like them).
Thank God because my Mike's has the lamest selection ever!!!! I just keep telling myself that once they get through the starter stuff I will see the good stuff that they have online everywhere. **Sending good thoughts to my Mike's manager**
WooHoo can't wait!
I also don't care much for the big headed "critters", they are so bad my husband even commented on how he didn't like them in the store when I was buying my Bug
I'd be happy if I could find something other than the swirls and thank you embossing folders.
YES! Enough with the basic starter stuff and move on....there is a whole CB world out there...but it's all online and I don't want to shop online. And I don't like the creepy characters either. More backgrounds would be nice.
I just gave in to pressure and bought a 'Bug today... the selection of dies and folders at my Mike's was not good. Agreed... do not like the animals with the big heads! ;) Will be anxious to see some new stuff!
I could no longer wait for my Mikes to get all the embossing folders in. Plus, living in Canada, we usually are about 1-2 years behind. So I relented and ordered from an on-line store (actually 2 stores)...one in the US, one in Canada and bought almost ALL the embossing folders. I am loving them. They are so versatile. I like the fact that after embossing, you can simply cut out sections (like the congrats or friends folders) and use them on a tag or in a piece of hardware.
Not so crazy about big-head baby. Wish their dies were cuter. Although I do like their flower dies and tag dies. Good thing Sissix and other dies fit the cuttlebug, so we are not forced to use just those dies. Looking forward to some new ones!!!!!!!!!!
I mainly use CB for the folders and alphabets. I use Sizzix and Big Shot dies for my shapes and etc. I do have some Quickutz too that work in the Big Shot. But definately....CB has the market on the embossing folders....LOVE them.
Don't get me wrong. I love the embossing folders. And I love a lot of the smaller dies (tiny tags, sliders, asterisks, etc) and even the 3" funky circles, squares, etc. I am just wishing for some larger general shapes like scalloped ovals and circles, maybe some larger tags, etc.

New stuff??!! Woo hoo!! I like new cuttlebug stuff... 04.gif
I've been in M's twice this week and used the 40% off coupons.
I've got a couple alphabets and some embossing folders, but only 1 actual image die cut. I'm ready for a larger (and better) selection. I too am not keen on the big-headed critters.

I would LOVE a paisley embossing folder!! Gina K used one on a card the other day, but it was ---um, Big Shot, or Sizzix, or one of those other ones. I really don't want to "stray" from the CB brand --I know you can buy adapter thingies but I don't really want to go there, so it would be nice if they came out with one!!
Oh, I can think of sooooo many background folders I would love!!
what is CHA?
does this mean after that show they have the accessories in the store?

I was thinking the same exact thing! One can hope, right??!!
Also, CHA is a big convention that occurs every year where all the new products are revealed; stores will have the new products soon after hopefully!

I did wonder if something was going to happen as Oh My Crafts had all their CB stuff on sale. So there must have something in the wind.
Can't wait...
Oh, Michelle that embossing paisley folder Gina K used was probably the Bisk (Big Impressions Starter Kit). You can view it at: www.ellisondesign.com - I believe there are 3 different kits.
At my Mike's they put one empty box on the shelf with a sticker that says you have to take it to the register, and then they'll give you a box with the 'bug in it. Does anyone else's store do this? Any idea why? It's not like it's a small box that can be hidden, and it was surprisingly heavy! I actually got the last one yesterday... the one that goes with the empty box that sits on the shelf. It was missing the "B" cutting pads, so they sold it to me for 50% off! I was going to use my 40% off Joann's coupon for it, but got to use it for die-cuts instead. Just wondered if anyone knows why they don't just have them all on the shelf. I would have thought they were out of them if I had walked up to it and there was no box because someone else is walking around the store with the display box!
I think they display empty boxes and keep the actuals at the counter as they are quite expensive ($80 for alphas) and they can't afford to have them lifted.
Oh this is such good news! I c'nardly wait!!

No, this is the actual Cuttlebug they don't have on the shelf! The die cuts, embossing folders and everything are all right there on display.
The Michaels's by my house does the same thing with the empty box. When I bought my bug I had to bring the empty box up to the register, then they brought me the "real" one.
