oh, I dream about havin cuttlebug machine and ANY dies, but it's almost impossible in Poland to buy such things, and buying it in US is too expensive, so the only thing I can do is still dreaming about it maybe one day dreams come true

genescrapper.......I just purchased my new Cuttlebug embossing folders from Oh My Crafts. Took more than a week before they sent them. (Had to e-mail to ask, that's when they told me they were out of stock.) They did ship a few days after my e-mail and I got them within a very few days! I had to use an internet order, since they don't have a toll free number.
If I wait till my local AC Moore or Michaels gets them, I will be too old. Michaels in my area has not updated their stock in well over a year and AC Moore stores usually take about 6 months to get new merchandise in. Yes, I would much rather patronize my local stores, but sometimes can't wait that long.

The Stamping Cottage is having a one day sale today, everything is 17% off, and they have most of the new Cuttlebug folders. If they are out of stock they won't show up on their website. Their shipping is reasonable (free shipping with a $60 or $65 order, can't remember). I've ordered several times and have had great service and fast shipping.
I just ordered the new cuttle bug. We have tried it out and are very disappointed. We have tried to emboss and are getting very light or no image. The plates do not seem to be the correct thickness for the impressions to become embossed on the card stock. We have added thickness of various types and either the machine will not accept the plates with the added thickness or we have the same problem of very light or no impression. After reading the feedbacks on the machine, we wonder what is an embossing folder. If it was needed, why wasn't it included with the cuttlebug?

maggie - provocraft has produced very specific embossing folders that are made to be used with the cuttlebug. you can see what they look like here. you put the paper between the sides of the folder and the cuttlebug presses the paper into the template. most of the time, when people are talking about embossing folders, they mean the PC branded ones.
others use the cuttlebug with brass templates to emboss. is that what you're trying to do? there are several methods of embossing with the cuttlebug. check out my thread on sandwich stacks here; there's LOTS of discussion in that thread about embossing. and check the cuttlebug FAQ thread for other tips.
all of the places seem to be out of stock on the swiss and the vines. Even if they don't say so. I ordered and got my order yesterday but those 2 did NOT ship from Oh My Crafts. Not happy with them.

carol - THAT's bad news. i ordered eight different ones and since the order went thru, i assumed nothing was back ordered... i'm not gonna be happy!
Thank you for sharing! Thank goodness they are a reasonable price because I will need most of them. I wish Hobby Lobby would let us use coupons on them.
