Hi all...still new to stamping/carding...considering getting a Cuttlebug. I just found out they are about $70. Has anyone actually used a 40% off coupon at Michael's for one??
Also, do you recommend this machine?

Yes. I used my 40% coupon on the Cuttlebug. The store refused to honor it, but I e-mailed Customer Service. A couple of days later, I followed up with a phone call. They immediately called the store and informed them that the coupon is good on the Cuttlebug. I was able to go back and buy the machine. The clerk had to call the office before she'd sell it to me, but I walked out with the machine. (That's the short version.) A month or so later, I used the coupon on one of the alphabets. That was even a bigger savings.
This machine is the cat's meow!!! I find that I am using it way more than my criciut machine. There are some great tutorials (sorry i don't have link handy) of inking up the embossing folders on one side and rolling it through....fab result!! Get it while you can!!!!
As everyone says, Yes, you can use a coupon at Michaels to buy the Cuttlebug.
But....some stores (really, some clerks) get confused because the coupons usually have wording that says the "Cricut" machine by Provocraft is excluded from the coupon.
The clerks see "Provocraft" on the Cuttlebug box, and tell people the coupon is no good on the Cuttlebug.
If that happens to you, just politely but firmly ask to speak to the manager and point out that the Cuttlebug is a different machine than the Cricut, even though it is made by the same company. The managers will usually see the logic of this and let you use the coupon.

I'm on my way to Michaels with my 50% off coupon to get a cuttlebug! (Well, as soon as the store opens!) I've been waiting all weekend!

You can use all dies in the Cuttlbug to my knowledge. Just the stack differs in what to use and how. I have so much stuff and it is never enough..I want more more more....lol
Can you get the coupon online. I missed yesterdays paper.

it says right on the coupon that they won't except reprductions of the coupon. i know printing it of the web isn't a reproduction, but i've heard of people having trouble using them.
i just used my coupon today to get a cuttlebug. i was ready to fight for it when i heard about the trouble that others had had, but there was no problem at all... the cashier didn't even flinch when the coupon said it was taking 40 bucks of my order.... sweet!

I've never found a Mike's online but I'm afraid a lot of people may miss the one in the newspaper this week. It's not a folded flier. It's a piece of cardstock about the size of a 8X10 picture. Maybe a little smaller. There are 2 coupons, one on each side. One is for what we want and the other side is on framing. Hope this helps you find it.
Check with your neighbors. I know that it's hard to believe but some people aren't crafters. LOL
I just bought today with 50% coupon. I got the coupon from my friend. I waited till they have 50% off. Next...my friend will give me 40% for the embossing die cut ;)

You can always print 40% off coupons for HL online too. fyi for NEXT time.
Wow! Congrats on the walmart find! I went yesterday and they didn't even have any cuttlebug stuff. Just cuttlekids.

I always use my Jo-anns coupons (from the mailed flyer) at Michaels. They accept competitor coupons and you can use them on Cricut *supplies* (Mike's say all Cricut products and Jo-anns just say machine and cart. - in fact I just used a 50% one for the Design Studio). If you go to Joanns site, you sign up and they mail you tons of coupons all the time!
Just looked at ad for Michael's for next week . They have Cuttlebug and Cuttlekids 50% off. That date will be April 6-12. They also have a 40% off coupon. They have lots and lots of things on sale this week.
