You should definetly get the bug! You can pick up the folders for $4 most of the time. And the alphabets you can also get on ebay for a fraction of what they cost in the store. Not all of them, but some. You will be glad you did it in the long run. I didn't think I would want one either, boy was I wrong. Seeing all of the beautiful cards on here makes you want it even more. Get it at Michael's and use the 40% off coupon. I only paid $42.79 for mine with tax. But if your going to do that read the posts about owning a Cuttlebug. Mike's will try not to let you use the coupon on it, but you can. It's not a Cricut, just made by the same people who make the Cricut.

Funny, I had dreams about mine before I bought it too. That is how I knew I was OBSESSING too much about it and simply had to buy it!

I have a sizzex machine and it has a converter piece in it to be able to handle cuttlebug dies and embossing folders. I LOVE them! I want to eventually get the cuttlebug machine, but for now I am building my collection of folders. The things is that this is the cheapest way to go. Sizzex dies and much more expensive than the CB dies. The other item out there right now is the cricut...at michaels it runs at a little under 400 dollars! I could never get something that expensive for a hobby.

I am a super frugal person, and don't buy on impulse. Like you, I agonize forever about making a purchase that a lot of people don't think twice about.

That said - Get the Cuttlebug. I have absolutely loved mine and use it constantly. The embossing folders are the most fun to use. The same folders look very different when you use them with different colors of paper, and pattern paper is a super look, too.

Wink

I had the bug, and traded up to the Big Shot. I now, don't use it. I think because it is bigger and a bit more to carry over to my table, takes up more room, etc..

The bug is as light as a feather, and you can have it off to the side and still a place to work.

I honestly, may go back to a bug....I would go for it......!! ;)

*Thank* you for this comment! I have had a little voice in the back of my head saying "You should have bought a Big Kick/Shot" for weeks. But what I have loved about my Bug is exactly what you said. I am going to quit worrying and just enjoy the Buggin!

i could just SCREAM!!!!!

aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

so i went to joann's, coupon in hand, fully ready to make my purchase...
and it is OUT OF STOCK!

i had to special order it and now the WAIT!

i did buy several accessories to go with it so i guess i can ogle them till it comes!

one gal said prolly a week from wednesday sense the order is already in for this truck. and the other gal said could be as much as a month cause and gives on of those 'you never know' looks.

at least it is bought and paid for. so i have made the commitment!

That's awful!! I can't believe after all that you have to wait for your bug. Well, at least it is bought and paid for. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it comes soon.

Oh my goodness, we know you're meant to have one, ahhh.. must mean you'll enjoy it that much more when you do get it.

You could read the FAQ thread and be prepared, also when you pick it up make sure it has an instruction booklet some gals have got home with a bug and discovered they didn't have any type of directions.
