Default Cuttlebug Dies in a Wizard Machine

Has anyone out there had trouble using the large Cuttlebug dies in their Wizard machine. I cannot get the suggested sandwich to go through the machine. I have even used the Charm kit mat and a variety of home made shims. If I get the sandwich through, it does a very poor job of cutting the die. The die I've been using is the Cuttlebug Ornamental Iron, which is very intricate. I don't have any trouble using the embossing folders, at least.

(Pause while my brain engages.) It just occurred to me that I have not tried any other C. die except the Ornamental Iron. (Another very lengthy pause while I go in my craft/guestroom and try out a different A2 size die.)

Ok--I tried two of them. One went into the machine fine, and cut fine. The 2nd, although not a detailed die, had to be forced. Conclusion, not all Cuttlebug dies like the Wizard machine.

Perhaps someone else has had this problem, and has figured out a solution. I guess I could buy a Cuttlebug machine, but Wizard claims it cuts C. dies, so I shouldn't have to.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Wizard, and wouldn't change it for the world.
I guess there really isn't any one machine that does it all, every time.

I always use the Cuttlebug, but I do have two sandwiches on file for the Wizard:

(Bottom first)

white master cut mat, paper, die, white master cut mat

white master cut mat, paper, die, medium yellow cut mat

Thanks. I will look into what that medium yellow cut mat is.

I use the first of GypsyRoseStamper's sandwiches - white mat, die, paper, white mat. I haven't tried elaborate dies, I only have a few small ones, but even those fiddly little Vintage Corners cut fine for me. It's the Sizzix dies I have more trouble with...
It also really does help if you can rotate the die and paper through 90 degrees and make a second pass through the Wizard - but the only way I've found to do this without the risk of shifting the alignment ever so slightly is to use a low-tack tape.
p.s. I have the older purple Wizard, not the raspberry.
