I have had my CB for a long time and would not give it up - use only for embossing. The Cricut Personal is still in the box from Thanksgiving sale, but I will start using soon. I just ordered the BS/dies and bought all of a friend's sizzix dies to help her out with $$$. Now I want the BIA. Who said the difference between men and boys was the price of their toys??? I think it fits us too. Now if I could just not be such a hoarder!

I started this thread, and I have to say that I'm happy that I took everyone's advice and kept the bug!

I'm loving my cuttlebug!

I made thank you cards with the thank you embossing folder and I just love, love, love them.

I'm thrilled that I was able to get my fiskars plates to work, too.

I don't know how much die cutting I will do with the cuttlebug, but I love the look of the embossing.

I got mine at 50% off, too, and I hope to get to Michael's this week to buy folders.

Default Any sales on Cuttlebug?

Does anyone know of a sale going on now for a Cuttlebug?
Have been thinking of getting one for awhile and the least expensive I could find it at is Custom Crops, but shipping is like $14.00 or so.
Thanks :-)

I don't personally have a Cuttlebug but I do have a Sidekick, BigKick, and Cricut Expressions and I would not trade or give up any one of them! They all have their own use/purpose. The way I look at it is, the Cuttlebug is just another tool in your arsenal of scrapping tools! How can you not justify it with a 50% off coupon to boot! Of course, unless the Cuttlebug $ is keeping food from your children's or puppies mouths! LOL Thanks, Mona

Well it all depends if you like the embossing look or not. I have both and couldn't do without my cuttlebug but I am crazy about embossing. I don't even die cut with my cuttlebug just embossing only then I use my cricut to die cut. Did you know you can cut shapes with your cricut then put them thru the cuttlebug to emboss. Talk about a smashing look. Wheeee doggies. It's great.....I love having both and have around 20 embossing folders. I have both small and large embossing folders. I was wondering if I could use the stampin up embossing folders with my cuttlebug ? I may have to go ask on another forum but will see if any of you know this answer here as well. Happy STAmping !!!!!

Have both and love them! Cricut is amazing for making background shapes (top note is on Accent Essentials - can use any size I want!) Cuttlebug is fabulous for embossing. Used pasta machine for quite a while and switched to Cuttlebug because I simply had to get a couple sets of Nesties. (Beware - they can be addictive as well!)

Well I have to put my pennies worth off cuttlebug advice in. I have one and I love it there is loads you can do with it.
You can use all diffrant kinds of embossing and die cuts with this machine. If you go to spellbinder website and they have reciepe's on how to use their dies you kinda get an idea of how to use the endless list on your cuttlebug with a little twicking here and there. I bryer ink the raised side of the embossing folder and than emboss the paper and see what effect you get it's so cute.
You have to play with it. Also the Co-ordinations paper you can emboss and than sand down has a great effect on them. you can cut a die with the expression and than run it through a embossing folder for even more effect. The possablities are endless.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Diana, Where did you buy it for 39.99 ? I got mine for 35.00 around a year ago and my friend wants one so I'd say 39.99 would be the cheapest price this year. Thanks, Beckaroni

I have the Cricut Expression and a Cuttlebug and LOVE them both! I use them for completely different things. I really only use the Cuttlebug to emboss with and LOVE that look and versatility! Enjoy your new toys!

Hi Becky,
Got it at CustomCrops.com. It came with the "Celebrations" embossing folder set included too. :-D
They were a good company and gave me a tracking number for my order so I knew right when it was being delivered.
The shipping costs brought the total up, but if you order other folders and dies it's probably worth it. Couldn't find any place cheaper. They were out of stock till
February 22.
HTH,
Diana

I have a regular Cricut (I am green with envy at your Expression, I'm trying to save up for a Create), the Cuttlebug, and an SU! Big Shot....I'm probably going to get rid of the CB now that I have the Big Shot, but having a Cricut and a manual machine is NOT too much, the Cricut can't emboss!!
