Default Cutting pads for double-sided die

I purchased a Gemini double-sided die offered by Crafter's Companion through HSN without being advised that this die is intended only for Gemini die-cutting machines and that it requires special cutting pads that have only been tested on Gemini die-cutting machines. I am now stuck with a die I cannot use in my Vagabond 2 and Big Shot die-cutting machines. Other than purchasing a Gemini machine, does anyone have suggestions as to what kind of cutting pads I can use in my machines or how I can use the double-sided die in my Sizzix machines?

I have no advice for you, sorry. But, I did purchase the double sided plates for the Gemini Jr and love them. I do not own any double sided dies, but use the plates for all my regular dies. The plates are awesome and I have been using one for about 6 months and it has NEVER WARPED. Amazing.. I don't know if the double sided dies would harm your die cutting machine... I hope you get the answers you are looking for..

Maybe magic mats would work: https://www.scrapbook.com/store/products/?w=magic+mat

I have Magic Mats and I really like them with my Big Shot. I would think the little bit of extra flex they have would allow double sided dies to cut.

I use the Gemini double-sided flower dies in my Vagabond 2 with my regular cutting plates and they work fine. No extra plates or shims needed. The Vagabond 2 is supposed to prevent something with too much pressure from going through the machine. Just back off if the machine stops. Good luck.

I have the same issue and question as Pamstamper2967. I purchased a double-sided Crafter's Companion die (because I really liked the shape it cut out, and failed to read the complete description, lol, a fault I indulge in way too often!). I have a Big Shot, but haven't been able to find any information about how to use a double-sided die in it. I've searched Sizzix, Google, YouTube, etc., and come up empty.

So, has anyone tried the Magic Mat yet in a Big Shot for a double-sided die? I'm thinking of giving it a go, as I "need" to order some stuff from Scrapbook.com anyway. If I do, I'll report back! :-)

I have used mine in the Big Shot. I even put paper under and over to cut both sides at once.

Default Trashed my do not cut plate

Hi all - my CC double sided dies are now in my donate/duplicate pile. I couldn’t get a great cut and my do not cut plate was very warped. I really love my CC products - so a bit disappointed - but please be careful.
