Default Cricut in place of new SU Dies

Has anyone use the Cricut to substitute for the new dies Shot being offered by Stampin UP? The top notch suggested in one of the earlier posts is fantastic if you already have the Cricut.

Default Wish I had of been reading here more often

I didn't realize that my cricut had a very similar cut on AE for the top note and I got all excited and thought if I could demo the big shot I would sell some... anyway ordered the big shot and too many dies, cut one thing and realized I could cut all the shapes on my cricut and with the new deep blade I will be able to cut almost as many things or enough for me anyhow. SO now I have the big shot and I am going to try and sell it and the dies because I am really only a hobby demo and maybe not even that! Anyhow, look before you leap, should of been what I did

I have a Cricut and usd my Accent Essentials cartridge to cut out a shape that looks just like the Top Note die. I was going to oder the die, till I looked through my cartridges and seen this. I made this card using the shape..

I don't have this die but I have others. Wishing I didn't, will have to trade. I am glad there is more than one option to get the same look without tying up so much money in one die of limited size, and a pain to store to boot. I don't have a Cricut yet but as I read these threads I think it is moving more quickly to tthe top of the next to get list. Thanks for the info. on the cart.

I cut a bunch of these out the other day...love the AE cartridge. The best part is we get several sizes for perfect layering!
Blessings.

Ladies....The Cricut is very nice as I have one also and do use it. The advantage to also owning a BIGkick, Big Shot or even the Cuttlebug is that you can cut the shape in oodles of different materials for what ever your project is. You are not restricted to only some kinds of paper or vinyl.

Again, it is personal preference, but I prefer to have both.

Storybook has the Top Note in many different variations. I love being able to adjust the size. I have seen Storybook and Graphically Speaking at some HL.
