Cricut Mini

Anybody ordering one? For just $130 I thought it was a good deal. It seems kind of like a Sillohette (spelling?) where you can hook it up to your computer. I like that you can buy just one design at a time instead of whole carts. But you can still use the carts you have with it. I don't think I am getting one today but I am curious to hear more about it. What do you think?

I got suckered into getting it before I could research it more. I figure, if it is not my type of thing I will just return it. Sounds like a fun kit! Can not wait to try it out and see what it can do.

What is the advantage of it over an Expression? Don't they both connect to the Craft Room?

No- the mini will only work with purchased ProvoCraft images/fonts, through the online Cricut Craft Room.

I know the HSN host kept saying this, but I've been following the Cricut message boards, and so far Provocraft has never said we will actually be able to purchase individual images. They did recently make several digital "cartridges" available for purchase for use with Cricut Craftroom, but these are still preset bundles of images, not images that we can pick and choose. I noticed Jinger sure didn't clarify that one...

Hmmm, very interesting! That certainly changes my thoughts about the machine. I was thinking it would be great to buy just the images I wanted. Good ears!
