Has anybody tried to cut any chipboard with the cricut to outline a letter then maybe having to cut it through with a exacto knife? If you did about how thick was your chipboard?
I saw a post on the general stampin talk forum....they did it. I tried but I dont like using an exacto knife...I am sure it would have worked though...mine was very thin chipboad...but dont forget the sizzix goes right through it!
I'm pretty sure I've read that attempting to cut chipboard would void the Cricut warranty. That being said, I also think I've heard of people trying it successfully. Kinda hard to say for sure, though, since chipboard comes in such a variety of thicknesses, kwim?
Our LSS has a nice thickness of chipboard for 25cents a sheet. Definitely the regular sizzix and zipemate could handle it. We used it at a workshop and the only thing was you may have to do the pressing twice. Also, we were told to cut the paper to mount on it, separately. It worked really slick and make a great embellishment for a card. Also, I think the regulaz sizzix cuts Quickutz better than the Quickutz Hand tool....(my 2 cents)....
