the normal one come with George if you order form QVC you actually get a different one also called Doodletype ( which is only offered through them).. you can do alot with one cartridge, but you will buy alot.. I bought Doodlecharms and Tear Drop.... the possibilites are endless...trust me , my l wish list is huge.. i played with Jasmine and that is awesome...Opposites Attract look great too. I know they are going tocome out with more. your best bet is to go to WWW.PROVOCRAFT.COM

there are so many cartridges... You will LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!!!
I hope this helped you a bit

I love Basecamp as a plain serif-font--great for monograms. I also love Opposites Attract because it has a clean sans-serif font as well as a Script. The tails are quite long on the script, BUT you can trim them to shorten the words.

The one that I haven't used as much that I thought I would use a ton is Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more. The boxes are pretty small, which stands to reason when they can be no more than 5-1/2" tall, flaps and all. It's still a nice one--just not as handy as I had thought. HTH, and you will love your Cricut!

I love Base Camp because it's a nice general Upper & Lower case font for scrapping and also for display boards and kids projects.

I'm thinking of getting Opposites Attract but I have Jasmine and don't really care for it. The idea of a script appeals to me but I know how hard it is to peel those suckers off the mats!

I have Tear Drop, All Mixed Up, Boxes & Tags, & Paper Pups! I love All mixed up and I enjoy playing with the boxes & puppy cartridges! I wish I had ordered mine through QVC, because I really liked the exclusive, extra cartridge!

I've actually been surprised with how much you can do with George that comes with it. Of course, that's all I have so far.

I have Tear drop & George, Tags Bags Boxes & More, and Doodlecharms. Two fonts, two shapes. Love them! I have a friend that has one too so we swap cartridges. Between the two of us we have the first set that came out. We have not bought any of the newer sets.

My must have was Tags Boxes and More. You can make the CUTEST door prizes with a push of a button. Must have in my book. That's not to say I don't have any others (of course!), but that one I bought with my Cricut. HTH!

I am waiting to buy the new Disney Fonts and Mickey & Friends available in March or April...I can't remember. But they are way cute if you are a big Disney fan. They also have 4 other new ones coming out, too.

My favs are Base Camp and Teardrop of the fonts, doodlecharms of the others. I used the tags, boxes and more and decided not to purchase it. Jasmine is kind of funky to play with because of the extending letters and size. My next purchase will probably be Opposits.

I don't have a cricut (want one thought), but I did see someone mention that with the Monograms set you could do scalloped circles, etc.

I have George, Opposites, Jasmine, Animal Kingdom (just got that the other day) and DoodleCharms. I love each and every one of them and use them all. Depends on the look I want and what kind of mood I'm in. I want to get Paper Pups and Christmas Cheer next.

I have quite a few cartridges but one I just purchased was the Mini Monograms because you can make scalloped circles and squres with it. I LOVE it!! Who needs the Giga punch!! I can make scalloped circles and squares of all sizes. (up to 5 inches) I went nuts with this cartridge when I got it and was a card making fool, lol. Well worth the cost of the cartridge. Especially considering the cost of the two punches it would be replacing. I love my Cricut!!

I guess it depends on what you will be using it for. I have young children and scrapbook a lot. My absolute favorite is Zooballoo. You get an Uppercase and Lowercase alphabet along with a ton of animals. The animals are separate from the letters or they can be used together. I think it is confusing unless you have it. If you go to the Cricut website and look under products you can view the entire handbook for every cartridge they have (even all 6 new ones!) That is a great way to see what you can do with each key using all the creative features.

Have fun!!!
