Default Cricut ?

Thinking of getting a cricut, what cartriges do you think you use the most? What is the cartrige that has the basic shapes like circle, square, rectangle stuff like I would use for cards the most?

Thanks for your help,

I have the Cricut. I use George the most. It came with the Cricut. It has all of the basic shapes as well as a font. Base Camp is my favorite for letters because that font suited my style the best. I love Paper Doll. There are so many items on it which makes it a very versatile cartridge. I am going to buy the Storybook cartridge soon. It has a lot of great shapes that will work well in card making.

I have several cartridges but I use the George cartridge more than any of the others.

The George cartridge is the basic one with shapes on it but it only comes with the original "baby" cricut. The Cricut Create from Michaels is the medium--a mix between the baby size and the Expression. The Expression is the big cricut. Not sure what cartridges come with the Create. The Expression comes with Plantain Schoolbook (a font cartridge, I think) and a design cartridge, but no plain shapes.

Storybook cartridge has some shapes - there was another thread about this today. It does circles, scalloped circles, squares, um......can't remember the others.

I use Paper Doll Dress Up the most of any. It is really versatile...and I do NOT make Paper Dolls! The accessories on that cart are awesome!

What kinds of things do you use Paper Doll for? I looked at it and saw that it has a lot of options but not sure what I would do with it. I would love some suggestions.

My most favorite cartridge is Doodlecharms. It has such a variety of things and it really has something for ever season of the year. Look at it and you will see what I mean. Good luck and you won't regret getting a Cricut!

I love my cricut. In fact my ds and I just made 10 posters for him to hang at school. He is running for SGO representative! I love the "tear drop" font cartridge. I also use beyond birthdays, george, basic shapes and the christmas cheer a lot. I have a bunch more, but those seem to be the ones I use a lot. I would say go to the store or website and look the boxes to see what ones you like or would use the most. That is what I did. Good luck and have fun!

Most recently, I used the spider web and spider for some Halloween pages. I have also used the wedding cake/present, there is an adorable car, a ton of dinosaurs, palm tree, bone, rocking horse, genie lamp, Aladdin-like castle, shamrock, unicorn, shells, coral, pirate ship, treasure chest, knight shield, frog, castle....I could go on and on...only 1/3 way through the book!

I am loving the beautiful flourishes that are on the Home Accent cartridge. I also recently got the Storybook and cant wait to play with that. I have like 22 cartridges and like them all for something...
Blessings.
