My local Walmart just started carrying the Cricut for $198. Is that a good buy?

It would be in Canada, I don't know about the US... Walmart here carries it regular $269, but I've seen it as low as $189... You might want to wait for a rollback, or check Michaels. I just bought a deluxe kit from Ms today... Cricut (with George cartridge), 2 extra mats, 2 extra blades, trimmer, tool kit, spatula, 1 pk solid cardstock, 1 pk pattern paper for $299 CDN. That was a pretty good deal, I think. I've only played with it a bit and LOVE it!

I would shop around a little if I were you. Michael's and Joann's and places like that put them on sale for $149 a lot and with the new 12x12 model coming out you may see a price drop on the original. Just a thought. HTH

I just got mine at AC Moore on sale for $125.... I'd keep shopping if I were you.

Yes, with the new Cricut Expressions coming out, prices on the original are going to keep falling....
