I think there's a lot less punch art around now than there used to be before the advent of dies, and I can't think of any specifics punch art tutorials here but we do have a gallery for it: Card Candy/Punch Art by whitetigers at Splitcoaststampers
Does anyone have a favorite way to use craft punches on cards? Links to tutorials are especially helpful!
I still use border punches alot on my cards. I just think they add a lovely element to a card. My 2 favourite punches are the Fiskars Threading Water which I use for masculine cards - and my Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch which is so pretty and feminine. If you look at My Gallery here in SCS, you will see lots of cards using both those punches. HERE is one with the Threading Water Punch. HERE is one with the Doily Lace Edge Punch - which also has the tiny hearts as per detailed below.
Another border punch that I use is an EK Success Arrows Border but I use the bits that the punch punches out because they look like tiny hearts - and I love to dot them around my card or on the sentiment panel. HERE is a card that utilises those tiny little hearts.
One thing that I have always done with my border punches is to think outside the square because the leftover bits that have been punched out can be used for our cards. I have often used Star or Snowflake Border punches specifically for the snowflakes or stars that they punch out and used them as embellishments on my cards. Sometimes I will punch our glitter cardstock using them and they look fab. I have kept all my border punches because they are just so useful for the types of cards that I make - plus I don't always have a die for a really small element that I want to put on my card.
