This was a dangerous thing to start purchasing. I started with a set of 72 sketch and started adding to them fast. I probably have about 200 now.
It's gotten to the point where I made my own little flip book with all the color numbers in it (the markers I have are colored in) so I can go into Michaels or Hobby Lobby to see if I have that one.
Your wooden box is a beautiful holder for your markers! I have both the Ciaos and Sketch markers, so I made up a holder from a suggestion at another thread under Organization titled "Ultimate Storage Case". It was relatively inexpensive, simple to make, it holds all the markers in one spot, I can take it to classes, and cart it in and out! It's the perfect solution, I love it!! And, since I have both types of markers, it accommodates both styles, which is another plus. What more could you ask for??

I saw that thread on Split Coast"under Organization titled "Ultimate Storage Case"." I like that idea. I thought about making one. Just have to see if the case is (or will be) on sale again at JoAnn's for 50% off. Just made a storage cube out of 2 20 x 30 sheets of foam core. I've added more markers since the pic. Which was only a week ago!

I just went back and was re-reading posts. I did the same thing! Each page is a color. And the pages are tabbed so I can see each pages marker color. I'll have to take a pic and post it. hahaha
Aaron Brothers Art supplies also carry them and you can use the 50% and 40% coupons they put in Sunday papers or sign up for their e-mails and they send them to you...they come in sets and individual.
I apologize for not responding sooner and posting a picture. Family issues have kept me off the map, and as for my picture, well...... I'm am technologically challenged, and am ashamed to say do not know how to post a picture here. However if you go to the Ultimate Storage Case thread under Organization, you can see a picture of one in there from someone's blog. It was easy.........
I said NO... I said THAT'S CRAZY... I said NO WAY I'd pay that much for a marker... HA!!
It started on Monday with a set of 6 from HL... and three individuals to go with them (since the sets only have two shades of each color and you gotta have at least three hehe)... 40% off coupons for all, four trips to the store on Monday...
Looked on e*ay, all over the internet for who has them for the least... found a few good sites... THEN checked out the Sell/Trade forum and found someone selling a BUNCH... I bought them ALL!! I can't wait till they get here!!
Tuesday... another set of 6 and two individuals... 40% off coupons for all... this time I had my two older kids with me so only one trip. LOL!! Of course, I cross checked my list of the ones I bought online to make sure I wasn't duplicating last night too.

Here is the link, but read the entire thread as several of us made minor modifications to the original idea.
I usually buy them in sets of 6 from Dick Blick :-) We have a few locally and they have good prices, plus I get an additional 10% off as an educator. Most of mine are the Sketch markers. I signed up as an a muse|studio consultant and we sell the Originals. I keep going back and forth over whether to switch or not since I really love Sketch markers the best of the ones I've tried.
They are addicting and make me feel like an artist.

I went to my forst Copics beginners class a few weeks ago, fell in love, but not at $6.50 each at her shop. So I came home and hopped onto the SC, Buy/Sell forum and found a set of 170 for $2.60 each. SCORE!
Michael's special today only buy one get one free on Copics. they had 10 colors I didn't have and at $3.50 each for a Sketch I couldn't pass it up. Now I'm off to buy the refills.
I'm going thru withdrawel since I have all the colors that Michael's offers. And the closest Hobby Lobby is 45 minutes away. Plus you can only use 1 coupon/person /day. I'd spend more in gas than it's worth. I guess I'll have to start ordering on-line! I have a wish list at Oozak. If I buy all on my list......Over $800! Maybe Santa will read the list! hahaha

Welcome to the Copic Fan club
We all started out the same way. We bought just a couple of them so see what so many people were raving about. We took them home and tried them and we were hooked
We love using them so much we close our eyes to the prices .
We hunt for cheap casserole recipes so we can buy more Copics.

I remember thinking that COPICs were cool but I didn't need them. I dug out my old Prismacolor markers thinking I could achieve some similar result but I was horribly disappointed. Once that happened, it didn't take me long to dive in! I actually told a friend of mine that I would not go down that "black hole" and then literally 1 or 2 weeks later I had bought my first 8 after attending a class to see what all the fuss was about.
Now I think I have around 60 or so. I bought a lot of them at Michaels when they had them really cheap with the extra coupon on top of a sale. That same friend bought a whole bunch at the same time. I had a lot of E markers but didn't have many other colors and so I was just craving other others and decided to just go nuts. I probably will only buy 4 at a time now unless I run across a really great sale (my LSS has a buy 3 get one free deal all the time).

I have each and every Copic marker. I started out buying a couple to try to "get it" then realized I didn't have enough so I bought 50 of them off of someone on Ebay and realized they were not sets, so off to Hobby Lobby to buy more. I bought all they had then my LSS started to carry them (Sketch, my favorite). She sells them for a discount if you buy more (1-9=10% off, 11-20=20% off and 30 or more=30% off) so I started to buy 10 at a time....then I sat and figured it out. If I bought 10...I was paying for 9 (with discount)....if I bought 20....I was paying for 16....and if I bought 30....I was paying for 21....that is 9 markers for free!!!!! So, guess what, I started to buy 30 at a time. I now have them all and I saw a case that I loved and made one for myself...it holds all 346 sketch markers. Now she makes and sells them at the LSS and people are buying them like crazy!! I still have room for ummm.....15 more if they come out with new colors so I am good for awhile.
Does anyone have the new storage bag that Copic came out with? I received it last week and I am rather disappointed. I am trying to figure out how to make my own dividers w/o using the bags that it comes with. I really like having my color separated into separate color groups so the 6 included bags are not for me. Seem like they should have used velcro removable/adjustable straps/dividers instead. The interior material would support velcro...The construction of the case itself it very sturdy and strong.
It also seems like the case should have been made to either lie down (having your markers in a vertical position) or standing up (allowing for horizontal position)
Blessings,
Valerie
Mrs. Lumpy...
I have a case exactly like your copic case...I was wondering...what do you do with the lid? My lid won't come off and it is so big and in the way...I have VERY limited space and I was not sure what the solution was.

With the lid, I either flop it all the way open or just let it lean against something. A lot of times I will sit it in a chair next to me and the lid rests on the back of the chair.
