Default Copic Refill by MAIL?

Ugh...I have a few maker colors that I don't use that often and are in the need of a refill. I hate to buy refills for colors that I don't use much. I don't have any LSS that refill...is there places to send out for a refill and is it worth it?

Thanks - Wendy

You might be better off buying a new marker... Having said that, if its a colour that is close to another colour you like, or if you have other refill inks, you could always blend a custom colour and purchase an empty barrel for it.

A reinker will fill your Copic marker 6-8 times so will save you $$$ in the long run. That said I do believe there are a few places that will do it by mail.

If you've used them enough to need a refill, chances are you will use them enough to need another refill at some point in the future. The refills aren't that much more expensive than a new marker and will refill the marker many times. Most online stores that carry markers have the refills also. I hate it when a marker runs dry and I don't have a refill available. I'm slowly building my refill collection. They are good to purchase when you need a few dollars more to get free shipping.

Copics are really easy to refill with the drip method. I bought the needles etc and don't use them because it is so easy to wick the color into the marker by dripping the ink onto the nib. Honestly it just takes a few minutes. Considering the refill itself would probably be less than getting the pen refilled (with double shipping) I would suggest you buy the refill (and would be less time than the double shipping).

I buy all my refills from here:
MarkerPOP Online Store | MarkerPOP.com

I don't bother with the needles either I just pull out the broad nib and put about 18 drops in. If you haven't ever refilled a Copic before you have to take off both caps when refilling. If you use your Copics a lot it's definitely worth buying the refills.

Thanks for the replies I do have a few refill bottles and it looks like I'll start slowly buying more refills for the colors I use most often. It's soooo aggravating when one runs out as your coloring!
