Am I doing something wrong? I have some Sketch markers where the nibs dry out even though there’s so much ink that the other end is almost dripping. Do they not rewet if they get too dry? Mostly it’s the fine nibs but at least one the brush nib is just dried up.
I’ve heard that removing the nib and soaking it in blender solution or the matching ink refill can rejuvenate the gunky nib. I’ve never done it, but maybe it’s worth a try? The nibs are replaceable if you can’t get it to rehydrate.
How are you storing it? I think these work well when laid on their side. I like the suggestion of soaking it in the solution.

I had a couple markers do the same thing. On one, I didn't have the cap on tight. I've read that this can happen when the cap or area surrounding the nib gets dirty or wet with ink.
Sandy Allnock has a free "preclass" video at the beginning of her Copic Jumpstart class where she talks about just this issue, how to fix it and how to replace the nib if the solution soak doesn't work. It's the first video at the top of this page: https://art-classes.com/courses/copi...-class-warmup/

I did try daubing with the blender solution on the brush nib and it helped. I’ll try it more aggressively!

Maybe there is spilled ink around. I’ll check out the video!
I had a Copic marker like that. The marker and nib both dried out. I soaked the nib, cleaned out the cap, and re-filled the marker; and it happened again. I think I had a defective marker or cap, because I could tell that the cap was loose. I bought a new marker, and I haven't had any problems. Unfortunately, I'd had the marker for a long time, so I couldn't return it. I guess sometimes it happens, but for the price of those markers, I think I should have contacted Copic to see if they would replace it. Too late now, as I threw it out when I got the new one.
