I've searched the forum and couldn't find a thread, so I thought I would start one. I've made a few swatches in my "copic" sketch book, but I was wondering if anyone would like to share theirs here so we can get ideas of great color combos. I got the idea from Marianne here and it's helped me out a lot. I wouldn't mind some more (ok...A LOT more) color combos. :p

I just got my first copics yesterday-22 of them. I can't really help you since I just got them, but I wanted to subscribe. Since I'm in Japan, I'm hoping to be able to go get some more hopefully soon in case the dollar drops even more. This will be helpful in choosing some colors.
I've posted the color journal I made in the gallery. I started with the cover then worked through the sections of the book. By doing it that way it showed up with the back cover first, then works to the front.
So--here is a link, then, click to the right and you'll see the other pages!
Gingerd, that cover is SOOOO cute! I can't believe I've never seen it. I just bookmarked "Papermonkey" on my favorite Copic Blogs. TFS ladies, I can't wait to see more. I just ordered 30 more markers from EH. Can't wait to play.

I hope the journal helps! I'm not an artist so I went with stamping images. Then, I didn't want to blow through all the sheets I put in the journal so I decided to color 1/2 of whatever with one set of markers and the other half with a different set.
I do refer to it when I'm looking for a certain color combo. So, it does help!
I'm not an artist either. I use stamped images as well. Marianne usually writes down the paper she's using, ink and stamp. I wish I could free-hand and draw like she does, but it's also faster this way (for me anyway). I'm making more swatches once my Neenah cs arrives. I'm wanting to test the difference in "blends" between the suggested cs on her site. I have these on SU White Whisper (but usually use lighter-weight paper). Here's a sample of the stamp I used from SU. I just love how how cute you've made your cover that I'm working on dressing mine up! TFS again.

I didn't make a colour swatch per say, but what I did was use a piece of Whister White, which I love with Copics, and I basically just made a mark of each colour I have, in their family order - just like the sheet on the copic website. I use it when I am choosing whatever colours I'm using. Plus if I know I'm going pen shopping I take it with me. That way I don't buy ones I already have, as well as I don't buy 2 that are just too similar to justify. I find you really can not judge by the colours on the pen lids, they are not accurate enough.
Thank you so much I sometimes forget to post the markers used - I keep trying to remember
Suzy
Suzy, I love your House Mouse ones. I was making a House Mouse card last night and read your tutorial on how you color yours. Great coloring and thank you for the tips.

Wow ladies what a source of information you are. Mifchellena317 I saved your blank Copic Color Chart. TFS. Registered for Suzy's blog and just love the book gingred made.Great ideas.
Suzy, what did you use to bing your swatch book? I need to make a swatch book, but I don't have a Bind-It-All or anything like that. Will Kinkos do that?
http://rachelstampshappy.blogspot.co...you-copic.htmlGreat downloads for a mini copic journal available here from Rachel-
You can download the pages for it on her sidebar. The pages are 4.25 X 5.5 and I if you don't have a binding machine you can just use binder rings to bind it.
Wow, what a great thread and great sharing! Thank you! I am attending a certification class this weekend, and I may need to print some of these goodies before I go. Thanks to all that have shared. I don't have a favorite yet. They all look amazing!

I just took the class last weekend, really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The manual is great and so are the handouts. However, the cost of the class was just the tip of the iceberg!!! I want them all now, also the airbrush system!!!
