Question cookie stamps

Has anyone tried the new SU cookie stamps? I bought them and will be trying them out this weekend. I wondered if anyone out there has tried them and has any pointers. Can't wait! Thanks!

Mary Fish had some posts on her blog about the cookie stamps.

Here is a link to one:

Thanks! I finally had the opportunity to use them today. I used the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix that comes in a pouch and used the rolled cookies instructions. I found the snowflake image was a bit more distinct when I stamped after I baked them, because there is leaven in that mix. I also found it worked better to dip the stamp in sugar than in flour. These are a blast - sure hope they come out with more designs!

There are another three in the upcoming Occasions mini. Bunny face, shamrock and flower.

Here's something else you can do with them....make chocolates! They work as paper molds too.

I think the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix is the best of the packaged mixes out there. I like to add a little nutmeg to my cookies to give it a little something special. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I just saw the Occasions mini. I'm a little disappointed that the new shapes aren't being sold separately. I really don't need a second handle. Sigh.

I tried the shortbread recipe this morning. The cookies are absolutely delicious but the image spread out just as much as it did with the BC cookie mix. I think I might have to spring for the other images. These are fun!

Forgot to mention - the shortbread recipe says it makes about 16 cookies but I got 2 1/2 dozen out of it.

I absolutely LOVE mine. Great to use with kids, and the Sugar Cookie recipe that comes with them is PERFECTION. But I wish there was a no-handle option for the other sets too Lisa. I have used them A LOT and they have been through the dishwasher multiple times (not the handle though!) and no change.

I typically get 2 dozen big cookies out of each batch. Then I proceed to eat them all in one go. Nom Nom Nom.

Some of the images work for creating paper molds. Here's a document I put together from various sources that has some additional tips and ideas.

I really love these little guys. Love the new designs in the new Annual Catalog too.
