Default Clear acrylic blocks

I was wondering how many liked the clear blocks for their stamps??

How about a special place to order them??
the ones I have seen is some catalogs seem rather spendy..
Since I am new at the stamp thing.. thought I would ask the experts...

thanks..

I love using acrylic blocks with my stamps. The best blocks that I found are from Close to My Heart (CTMH), they are thick like wood mounts and have an hourglass shape. They are very comfortable to use, they are a bit more pricey then some.

Stampendous also sells some great acrylic blocks, they also have an hourglass shape and are comfortable and less expensive. I have a few Stampendous, but I prefer CTMH blocks. ;)

Try www.newcleardollarstamps.com -- they just started carrying acrylic blocks -- sold individually and also in sets. All have grid lines which make lining up letters easy.

I second the motion for acrylic blocks with an hourglass shape (for easy gripping) and the grid lines etched onto them (for ease in lining up images and alphabets). I use GridLine acrylic stamping blocks by Sunday International, which are available through many online stores and at shops, as well as on eBay. Try one long enough for some words and you'll be sold on them; they're worth every penny.

Default clear stamps

I belong to a once a month club for scrapbookers that also gives a tin of clear stamps with each kit. The stamps are called gel*a*tins. You can go on Scraptivity.com website to see them, buy them. They have really whimsical designs, pretty cool!

Go for it! Look at the blocks as an investment. Because once you have the blocks you can use them with any unmounted stamp out there. Make sure you buy the kind you prefer. I am with Jovi I prefer CTMh they have a nice groove to make them easier to hold and a line etched in each block to make it easier to line up stamps like alphabets. I really love using acrylic stamps for alphabets especially!

I love CTMH blocks!

One important thing to remember...to get the best "stamping experience" use the block closest to the size of the stamp you are using. If your block is too big (or too little) for you stamp you will not get the best image. Also, when you are looking at the $ remember that the blocks are a one time only purchase. You use the block over and over again with all you stamps. You just peel the stamp off the block and then put another stamp on that same block. Oh, and don't forget that the acrylix block is clear...you can see right through to exactly where you are stamping! No more "oops...that's not where I wanted that" problems.

I hope this helps!

I have gotten most of my Acrylic Blocks from a friend of ours, He works in a Glass store.

He gives me extra pieces of Acrylic sheets and my Dh cut's them for me. To the size I need.
He then polishes them too.

So I get them for Free.
