First you use the 1 1/4" circle to punch out the stamped image and then if you want to mat it, punch the 1 3/8" circle with a coordinating color.

I think you can also use the smaller circle punch (3/4" I think) to punch out the inside part and truly make it a rivet.

I believe it is actually the 1/2" to stamp out the inside. (In case someone else was wondering.)

I can't get to my stamp room right now, but the inside circle is the 1/2 inch on. I don't remember which fits the outside off hand.

Is it the 1/2" circle if you want to punch the middle out?

Default punch sizes

Amanda:

I'm glad you asked this question. I'm getting my SU order ready to be eligible for the hostess stamp set and Riveting is the one I want. So, I will have to add the circle punch in the order. ; )

I was going to but I have the coluzzle and CM circles so I don't know if I need to buy the punches.Does anyone know if either of these will be able to work for the riveting set doing all 3 cutouts for the set.meaning center circle.big circle and matting.

other wise I also need to buy them.but would rather save my money if I can.

O.k. I looked at my coluzzle round circle and it fits perrfectly over the set.so no need to buy 3 punches.when I have the one circle coluzzle that fits all the circles.

First I use the 1 1/4" to punch out the stamped image and then I mat it with the 1 3/8". The 1 1/4" does leave a little around the edge so if you don't want to mat it you don't have to either.

Default Which punch fits the riveting set?

Hi-

I was looking in ACM today and they have all the same circle punches as SU..I was wondering which punch size fits the riveting stamp set? Is it the 1 3/8 one?? thanks I figured I could use my 40% OFF coupon on one and get it for like $7 instead of $13 from SU.

Depends on how much of a border you want. I use the 1 3/8 and/or the 1 1/4. I also LOVE using the Designer Label Punch with it.

The 1 3/8 will leave a nice border. I don't have a 1 1/4, so I just trim around it if I'm going to be layering it. HTH!

I just ordered the 1 1/4" at stamp club tonight. That's the one that will work. I checked it out with my demo on the spot!

Stampin' Up!'s 1 1/4" circle punch works perfectly - it leaves just a bit of border around the image. You can then mat it with SU!'s 1 3/8" circle punch - it looks great! Also, the 1/2" circle punch will punch out the little center image so you can pop it up on a dimensional - looks too cute!

I use the CM circle maker - you get 2 circle cuts with one big punch. It makes a 1/4" mat as well. It's nice for when you're doing a lot of punches - and don't have to worry about finding the right punch.
