Default The Cinch

I'm thinking about getting a Cinch binding machine. I don't know anyone who has one. Any feedback to help me with the decision?

I have one and REALLY like it. The holes punch nice and clean, there are tons of options for the holes, and it's heavy duty. Learning to do the wires took a little practice, though.

I saw that, that was what inspired me to seriously think about ordering one. I did order, but they were all out of stock on the wires. Any suggestions on where to purchase those for a great price?

I love, love my Cinch. It is really easy to use, the instructions are right on the machine and easy to follow. The only drawback was the coil size didn't go below 3/4" and I had to work on a "work around" but, I see they is now an adapter for it for the smaller coil sizes.

So where do I get an adapter? I bet they are coming out with a new model & that's why Oh My Crafts had such a great price on them. I will use it for small projects so can't imagine I'd want the larger coils.

Sorry, I can't find the reference to the adapter now. I have made my own so I can use the smaller binder coils. I am interested in the new spiral binding wires though.

As for not using the larger coils...you would be surprised at what you will use. I used mine on my Copic swatch book..I am also looking at binding my own cook books with all the recepies handed down in my family.

I ordered wires from this site. They have a good selection and you can't beat their prices. For the smaller wires, 3/8" you can get 100 12" long wires for only $16.99. Quite a bargain.

I ordered a box of the 1" wires because I make larger books.

There is a new model coming out that does the smaller sizes but don't really think there is any difference other than that...or not that I can remember off of the top of my head, anyway...and it is a blue color Cinch Version 2 Press Release

The new one looks cool! I never use my BIA so I'm not sure a Cinch is in my future but this one looks really neat. Thanks for sharing the info and link!!

I love my Cinch. I've had issues with the smaller wires, but I figured out that I could put something in between the presser and the wires and it works better. I'm still learning, but I really like the bigger wires for the majority of the things I do.

I have the BIA too, wasn't sure if there's any difference with the Cinch or Cinch2. Is the Cinch easier to use than the BIA? I always get confused about the placement of the covers and pages.

The Cinch is MUCH easier to use than the BIA. I used the Cinch at my LSS and immediately sold my BIA...I would NEVER use it again. I had a class with the Cinch and the ladies loved it. I know another lady that has classes making mini books with her BIA...so I showed her the Cinch and she is getting one of those now.
