A few thought after looking at about a zillion Christmas things on line:1. Black is officially a Christmas color, many paper collections include black plaids, checks and designs. 2. Curvy is in -- everywhere 3. Almost every stamp manufacturer has featured tiny towns and houses stamps. 4. Cute critters are back 5. Nordic images are in this year (Yay!) 6. Last year there were few religious sets rolled out by the "majors" but they are more available this year.
Did you make cards? Are you sending more or less than last year?
I’m hoping to send more this year, but we’ll see how many I have time to make. My style gravitates toward nature—forest scenes, pine and flowers, etc. I’ve also been seeing a lot of snowflake sets this year.
You're right -- so many snowflakes and it seems every company is offering a huge snowflake stamp/die combo. Your post inspired me to use some teal in the next batch of cards.

Could you clarify "curvy" for me, please? Curvy lines? Curvy fonts? Curvy panels? I'm pretty well "on trend" with the other things, but need clarification on that one. Thanks!
I looked at new items but am more traditional and into poinsettias.The vintage Xmas lights bulbs from way back in the 1950s/1960s really like those too.
I like to send a traditional Christmas message and do about 50 cards. This year it is a nativity on alcohol ink background. Candy cane designs are still showing up in stamps and are so cheerful and fun... have to have these! As for trends, that seems to be all over the spectrum with characters and scenery and nature and even silly. Something for everyone!
I've noticed gnomes everywhere. I'm not really of fan of the gnomes. They kinda creep me out. Not sure why. I do love so many other Christmas and Winter themes. I love snow...real snow. I have a lot of snowflake and snowmen sets. I also like the cutesy sets and I like some of the vintage sets I've been seeing this year. I don't have a lot of vintage style sets. And anything coffee or warm drink related.
I ordered the Spellbinders card kit and die kits that are Christmas themed. It has a die set of a lamppost and wreath. I love that. Can't wait to get that and make some cards.

Long, thin tree lines, houses, greetings, borders that are bent a bit to look curvy. You can look in the gallery for SU's new Curvy Celebrations and Curvy Christmas to get a taste and some ideas.

Gotcha - thanks! The good news is that I have things already in my arsenal that cover every category listed! The bad news is that it doesn't stop me from looking at (and possibly purchasing) more...
Yes, I make Christmas cards..approx. 60 each year. I have a slow start this year, need to get it in gear to get them done....might have to supplement with store purchased ones. I love the snowflakes and using sparkle snow falling (via paste), using black card bases and stamping/embossing with gold or silver and painting on them with metallic watercolor paints...very striking . Love the traditional pine boughs, nature, Christmas ornament designs, watercolor painting pine trees. I usually do 5-6 of each design. I also like to use ephemera to create a card..I do lots of fussy cutting and have a stash.

Made about 75 cards this year---each one different. I design cards by theme and this year's Christmas theme was jingle bells. I have no idea what trends are, I just stamp what pleases me. Since we were planning to head east for the holidays last Sunday, I had everything done through January---all holiday cards and gifts, December and January birthdays and anniversaries, even thanks you cards for gifts. RV was packed and meals for the road prepared, but we decided that gathering was just too risky. At least most things are done. I'm trying to be upbeat as I so desperately want to see my kids and grand kids, but it looks like it is not to be this year.
