Where do you buy chipboard sheets? I want to make some recipe books but want just plain sheets of 6"x6" chipboard, that I'll decorate, then bind...any ideas?
If you want nice thick board, acmoore sells it in the paper isle where the pkgs or pads are usually on the bottom. can't remember how much it is or how many come in there, but worth it with a coupon....I also use cereal boxes and cover it with designer paper then embellish...the best I have found so far is luck charms...to bad for me I'll have to eat it..anything in the name of crafting
I have ordered from him twice and he ships crazy fast and the chipboard is great. Really thick! He says it is similar to the thickness of a penny or a hardback book cover.

Grafix has sheets...go to www.grafixarts.com and do a search for chipboard.
I just purchased from here http://www.ckresale.com/. They shipped super fast and the chipboard was a nice weight (5X7 .02. I did a mini-album class the other day with them.
They will also send you a sample of what they sell for a buck!

Bisquick mix (Jumbo box in the U.S.) has great cardboard too. Also, the Jumbo Minute Rice boxes in Canada have great cardboard. The Minute Rice boxes in the U.S. just aren't the same :( (and amazingly it's one of the few things that are cheaper to buy in Canada).
I've bought large sheets of mat-board from Michael's or Hobby Lobby and use that in place of chipboard. It's inexpensive, you get a lot of it, and it comes in a ridiculous number of colors. But I gravitate toward the white or off-white mat-board; it takes paint or ink just like chipboard and is most versatile.
The biggest problem you'll have is cutting it, since it comes in such large sheets. I use an Exacto knife to cut it into 15" strips so I can put it through my Carl trimmer ... or you can ask the kids working at the framing counter if they'll cut it for you.

I'd been looking for thick chipboard - could only find flimsy stuff - contacted this seller thanks to you. Amazing! Even though he only sold in the US, he set up a special listing for Canada - didn't charge extra - only charged exact shipping - and filled the box completely so I would "get my money's worth" according to him. Great customer service! Nice strong thick chipboard too! And incredibly fast shipping - I mean super fast.
