I only have pina coloda. So I was wondering which scents you ladies like the most. I have seen on line Autum and cinnamon vanilla (and many more), What do they smell like? Let me read your reviews!
I have candy cane for Christmas cards. I didn't know it would discolor my cardstock. It also made the adhesive less sticky. I'll be more careful next time!
I haven't ever spotted scents before. That is interesting.
Just my two cents...Fragrances are some of the most dangerous, unregulated and/or untested chemicals in our lives. If you want to see the details of a particular fragrance, go to cosmeticsdatabase dot com and check them out.
Ladies....In addition to the scent granuals discoloring the paper, be careful with the scents. Some people may not like the idea of smellie cards. The scent may be nice, but the scent will transfer to other things.....hands or anything it comes in contact with.
Don't mean to be a spoil sport here, but it is something to think about.
Hate to spoil too..but there is scent allergy/asthma too. I worked with a girl who got very very ill from scents. A girl in our department actually got sent home for using body cream. If your mail lady/mailman is allergic to scents.it can be bad. Sorry to say it..but its true.
I just tried to connect to www.card-scents.com and www.simplysistas.com and it appears they no longer exist- has anyone heard of a new addy or have they gone out of business?
Wow. I'm so new to this card-making thing, I didn't even know card-scents existed. Alas, another new thing to check out!

I believe that All that Scraps actually sells the Pink Papery scents - so they're the same.
I had a few of the scents. I used them around Christmas. I was all excited at the yummy smells. However, I had a few people tell me that when they got the card, they loved the card, but the smell was nauseating. I even had one person (who is a close friend so I believe her) tell me that she felt bad because she absolutely loved the card, but had to throw it away because the smell literally made her sick. Soooo not the effect I wanted.
Also, I had a few cards I didn't end up mailing. I opened one just the other day (you have to put them in the plastic/cello envelopes or the smell goes away too quickly) and it didn't even smell like the original scent. It actually made ME nauseous. I ended up throwing away both bottles of the scents I had.
Just my experience...

Hmmm...I better just try 1 bottle first before I go crazy and order too many. TFS!

Please, please, please don't use scents on your cards. I, for one, am highly sensitive to fragrances and chemicals. Was rushed to the ER when my boss refused to acknowledge that sensitivities are real serious. He decided to lay new flooring while the employees and customers were still in the building. I couldn't visit my daughter & granddaughter until she took it seriously that air fresheners are dangerous. And don't get me started on Febreeze and Bounce.
Okay, I'm off my soap box but honestly, please reconsider the using of fragrances. Think how upset you'd be with yourself if "someone you cared enough to send the best to" got sick.

Did your friend just not like the scent you chose for her, or are you saying that the fragrance changes over time, gets stronger or something else? How interesting. I only have a bottle of cherry; glad I haven't gotten more.
For years I have put a paper sachet in the drawer where my cards are stored. It's light and not overwhelming, and doesn't ruin the cards. Another thing you coud probably do is to spray some perfume into the air, and just wave the card through the mist a few times, instead of actually spraying the card. That way you could use up some of your own scents you're sick of! B&BW body sprays would work good! Experiment first on some scrap cardstock to be sure the color doesn't get on it though. Yeah, some people are very sensitive to scents, so use commom "sense". (Pun intended.)

The scent just changed I think. I know when I opened up a card that had been sitting for while, it had more of a chemical smell than it did a pleasant aroma of cinnamon-vanilla. The stuff in the bottle still smelled nice, but somehow the smell changed when it was no longer in a glass bottle.

Thx for the info. Guess I'll use what I have and watch it closely before considering more. And such a shame it has problems - what a cool idea scented EB powder is!

I am lucky to not have an issue, but grew up in a household where we couldn't wear perfume or use some brands of hairspary and cleaning products. My dad was seriously sensitive. One sister inherited the sensitivity and so did both of her kids. I would never send anything scented thru the mail. You never know how many people will come in contact with it along the way.
Cindy at www.stampinscrapin.com has some great scents and wonderful service. Scent my Cards.
yep this is who i buy from too...she has over 70 scents with new ones being released all the time! She came out with the idea to use a roller ball to apply the scent and it works so well. I have used her oil on colored cardstock like coredinations and bazzill and haven't seen ANY discoloration with her oils. Her bottles are also a FULL 1.8 ounce and the bottle is FULL so each bottle will last you quite a while! My favorites are peanut butter cookies (smell like they just came out of the oven) and peppermint patties!! omg they smell like york peppermint patties!
Don't miss her scent of the week to get a bottle of Scent my Cards for only $2.75!! This week it is scent a mint!! yum!!
I scent nearly every card I make. I have to say I am addicted to it. I am in some swaps where people will specify that they don't want scents, so I leave them off for them. The ones Cindy has in the rollon bottles are awesome. Her service is excellent too!
I only scented EP and its very faint but I only give those to family and friends that I know like the scented things. I am going to buy a bottle of scent for christmas cards - again to family/firends that I know like it.
This is something that we all have to be careful with.
