Default Can you use SU stamps with acrylic blocks?

I know there are a lot of SU people in this community so you all probably think this is a really dumb question. I primarily use acrylic stamps so I don't know much about using rubber stamps with acrylic blocks. I know TAC uses "creative cling" with their unmounted rubber. Can you do that (or something similar) with SU's? I love SU's designs but want the ability to achieve precise placement without the use of the stamp-a-ma-jig. Thanks in advance for your help!

YES INDEED!!!! I have all of my 'retired' SU! stamps on EZMount and stored in CD cases. For me, it was a matter of space!!! Just remove the rubber from the wood (sometimes, the cushion is too sticky to use on acrylic without 'gunking' up your blocks, but that doesn't bother me since they wash so easily), if you don't like that, remove the rubber from the cushion and either use the EZMount or Wacky Tac (I get mine from QVC) or some Aleene's Tack It Over & Over and Voila.....unmounted that you can use on acrylic blocks! HTH

I have a little different method for my SU stamps. I will stick the sticker right on the back of the rubber (unless they've made the sticker too small for their double mounted sets, then I have to use some cling film stuff). Then I use double stick poster tape to temporarily attach it to the acrylic block. I like seeing what the stamp is with the sticker there.

Yup, EZMount makes using rubber stamps as easy as using acrylic -- and you get the quality of rubber. No squished/blurry images and no torn or gooey stamps.

I too stick the sticker on the back then I use aleene's tack it over and over to stick them to the block. I have not unmounted my sets, I am just not mounting my new sets.

I do what Ann does except instead of double stick poster tape, I smear tombo multi adhesive on the sticker, let it dry and then it sticks to the block with no problem and comes off cleanly. Also, what I have been doing with the double mounted stamps when the sticker is too small is to make my own sticker, I stamp the image using stazon onto a page protector, then stick that onto the back of the stamp and put the tombo multi on. Works great.

I put double sided tape on my acrylic block. I just take my SU stamp with the foam and brown little paper still intact and stick it on my acrylic block and stamp on my paper. I do this because when I sell the set, it is still complete (just as it arrived from SU) and my prospective buyers can still include those who like their stamps wood mounted.

Wow, great ideas! I wasn't even sure there was ONE way to do it. Now I see that there are many. I have only been on SCS a short time and am loving all the creative and resourceful ideas everyone has. Thanks for your help!

I unmounted all my SU! sets. I put Tack N Peel on the acrylic blocks and I do not need ANYTHING on the BARE rubber. Just put the rubber on the Tack N Peel and it sticks.

I use EZmount also but in addition I like Tack'n'Peel. It is a sticky surface that goes on your acrylic block. I use it for bare rubber but also brand new SU sets:

When I get new SU sets, I simply attach the stamp with the backing paper still in place to the block with T'n'P on it. The stamp (rubber, foam and backing paper) peel right up again in perfect condition. You can use your SU stamps "out of the box" without doing anything to them or changing them at all. HTH.
