Question Can you use Crop-A-Dile to set actual Fabric Snaps?

My mom is an avid sewing fan and loves my crop-a-dile. She keeps asking me if it will work with real fabric snaps. I'm guessing it would but does anyone know? She hates the tool she uses to set her fabric snaps and would love to get the CAD if it would work for that.

I've always wondered this too.

I haven't tried it, but I bet it would. Can your Mom try it out on a piece of scrap? If I think of it, next time at my Mom's, I'll try it out and report back.

I bought some snaps to try and bought ones that were too big. I never made it back to get smaller ones. It seems it would work though. Maybe someday I'll actually try it.

Yup it works. I tried last night with some snaps that mom bought. I played with it for a little while, obviously you have to get used to it. Definitely use the flat or rounded TOP piece on the handheld CAD. I tried the bigger innie/outie one just to try and of course the male part of the snap got stuck in there! LOL.

Anway, now mom wants one. Hee hee...

Do you remember what brand/size of snaps you used? I would also like to set snaps in fabric with my CAD, but I have no idea where to buy the proper snaps to do this.
