Default Can you do this with Sharpies?

I've used SU markers to color in details on a rubber stamp, "huff" on it and stamp the image. Will this work with Sharpies or Bics? And, will it clean up off of the rubber easily?

My guess is NO - the sharpies dry quickly and are permanent. However, someone else may have actually tried it with success...

Um, they call Sharpies "permanent" for a reason! :( The reason you can breathe on stamps and remoisten the ink with SU! markers is because the ink is water-based. Sharpies are solvent-based (just like StazOn), so you can't use them to color stamps unless you want to change the color of the rubber!

Yes, permanent is permanent. And also, the ink dries very quickly since it is alcohol based. You couldn't stamp anything before it dried.

I agree with everyone else. I would not try it with my stamps. I would be afraid of ruining them. I'm a "chicken" at heart!:-D
