Default Can Someone Suggest Good Printer

Hi There,

I'm in the market for a good quality printer that can print on at least 110 lb. cardstock. I had a HP all in one but when I upgraded my computer to windows 7 it wasn't compatible. I recently purchased hp wireless C410 which I was told by salesman prints on heavy cardstock and is compatible. Took awhile to connect, can't use it as a wireless for some reason it knocked my sons playstation out. Not great quality print.

Which is better laser or ink jet?....any suggestions?

Margie

this question has been asked before and if you search for "printer" I'll bet you can find them. There were a lot of suggestions. I think laser would be better for images you want to color.

I was printers shopping tonight looking for a laser printer and learned that laser printers really require more use than inplan to use (awkward sentence).... The person with whom I was speaking Explained you need to print about 200 sheets per month to be certain the toner won't dry up and clog printer.... Just some info;)

Wink

Hi,

I originally purchased a HP wireless all in one for $300 (it was a special nite for preferred customers). I really wasn't thrilled with it, my cardstock kept getting stuck and ink smears were at the edge of the paper. It wasn't compatible with my windows 7, as soon as I connected it (which was intense) my son was thrown off of his playstation, my husband's desk top was disconnected from the internet, I had to connect with a USB cable, I couldn't use it as a wireless~(the guy told us today that my router is too small) that's a whole other story....

p.s. I returned it only to find out that it was on sale for $200~ (some preferred customer I am).

I purchased a Canon Pixma MG8120B for $300. I'm lovin' it~ but compared to my old HP everything prints very, very bright so I've been adjusting some things and its better, my cardstock prints like a dream~ so I think I'm happy!!

My old HP couldn't print on heavy cardstock but printed with more depth if that makes any sense!

Thanks for all the printer suggestions
