Broken hinge on new Altenew 3D Embossing Folder

Just bought an Altenew 3D EF folder a month ago, used it maybe 3 times and one hinge just came "unhinged"! I'm just stunned and annoyed. Anyone else ever had this happen? I've used 3D folders & regular folders forever and never had an issue like this. Altenew customer service told me it was my fault and to tape it up. I am disappointed.

I had an SU 3D folder break at the hinge also.Turns out it was my fault for running the folder through my Vagabond open end first. I just taped the 2 pieces together and it works fine.

Altenew really was lacking in the customer service department (which they call customer happiness)...didn't even apologize for the problem. After a lot of back and forth, turns out I realized I'd bought the folder from Scrapbook.com....oops, my bad! However, after contacting Scrapbook.com, they sent me a new folder...immediately! I am so impressed with that company! THAT's customer service...at its best.

Scrapbook.com is the best! That said, I had a folder with a mostly-broken hinge and I could never get the pattern (fairly intricate lace design) to line up exactly right. Through out the broken one.

I've sent lots of embossing folders through my machine open end first - when I send them through a second time to get a good, deep embossing. None of them have ever been damaged. I think that's bad customer service from Altenew. I'm happy that Scrapbook.com treated you well. They are a great company to deal with.
