Default Broken Crop-A-Dile {need help!}

So the great unbreakable Crop-A-Dile (CAD) has been broken by yours truly. Has anyone ever broken theirs before and what did you do to fix it? My is pure and simple- stuck. It takes TREMENDOUS FORCE to pry it open and pinch it close. I've checked all the visible parts and pieces and cannot see that anything is stuck in them. I've even cleaned it with an Air Can and oiled it with WD40. Still no luck. Any help would be appreciated. If worse comes to worse, do you prefer the original hand held version or the Big Bite? Im thinking I still prefer the hand held, but I would like to know if the Big Bites is worth it?
TIA
-Patty

Well phooey!!! That's no fun at all. Did you sort of roll back the rubber on the handles to see if anything fell down in there? That's where the springs are located that make the handles open.

Be sure to contact the company We R Memory Keepers to tell them that it's not working anymore. They may know what to do or they may offer you a good deal on a new one.

Default Broken

My brand new Crop-a-dile got a snap stuck in it because the directions were not clear and we were excited to use it! Took it back to store (Hobby Lobby) and they replaced it, no questions asked. You might even contact the company online. They once answered a question I had by email. I think you can play with the new version at Archivers. The day I tried it seemed stuck and the girl knew no more than I did.

Default Broken crop-a-dile big bite

I've used my big bite for awhile now and loved it until yesterday when it broke. I was using is and pushed down to set and eyelet and the needle pushed into itself and is now stuck. I thought this was an "unbreakable" item...lol. I guess I don't know my own strength, just call me Incredible Hulk Jen...lol
