Bravo Burgundy - red or purple?
Settle a dispute for me.
If you were to catagorize the color burgundy would you put it in the red spectrum or purple/violet?
This is certainly not a world peace solving problem or anything just a little dispute my friend and I are having.

I was always under the impression that it was both.
Although, I guess that doesn't solve your argument.

Red, with enough brown to make it rather dull imo.

I haven't even bought this color, so I wouldn't know, but I have to agree with the brown votes! I bought a lot of the old burgandy before it retired, then a lot of Cranberry Crisp last year and when I run out of that, I MIGHT buy the bravo burgandy, but it is my least favorite color right now.
I LOVE purple, so I really don't think it looks purple at all, or I would have bought some. Good luck!

I lost. :(
I just thought of burgundy as a purplish color. Of course then my friend pointed out that all of my burgundy paper is in my red section (I sort paper & inks by the rainbow) but all my burgundy inks & markers are in the purple sections. So apparently I had no clue!
Thank you all! Now I have to go and make her some cards since I lost the bet.

I don't use the paper a lot, but I love the ink because it comes out a deep reddish brown imo.
