Default Bought a SU Slit Punch - Now What??

I bought a SU Slit Punch awhile back and now I'm not sure why! I know it can be used for scalloped borders and for gift card holders, but can someone tell me what else I can use it for?

I did a gallery search but there seemed to be alot of pics where the SLOT punch was used.

Thanks!

It is great for money holders and holding pictures in place!

This is a link to my friend's blog; specifically the things she's used her slit punch on. I loved her projects so much I had to get one!

When I need a card to go with a gift I usually make a 3x3 card and instead of an envelope, I punch one end with the slit punch and fold the card where the other end slides into it. Does that make sense? I just finished my coffee, so my brain is not finished waking up. I always do this for a kid's birthday as I feel an envelope is wasted on them. lol

A fold-over note is a great idea, especially for a kid's card. You're so right about an envelope being wasted!

Wow, these are some beautiful projects and ideas! Do any other companies make a similar punch (especially if it can be purchased at a store and not online)?

Thanks!

I had ordered one and should be getting it tomorrow. I've pretty much been wondering whether it was something I would use enough or whether it was a wasteful purchase, but thank you very much for the other ideas. Those will help in preventing it from becoming wasteful.

I'll bet we could use the new circle scissors to do this, right?

Do you have the Creative Memories cutting system? That would work, too.

Thank you for the diameters of those circles. I do have circle templates and can make something work now that I have the measurements.:p

You can use it to make a slit to slide ribbon through, gift card holders, a creative way to hold an image in place instead of frames on the corners, or make scalloped borders with it. It's one of the only SU punches I have and I love it.

I have used the slit punch like Tracy mentions above...mostly for making scalloped borders and gift card holders. I have many cards in my gallery that use the slit punch for scalloped borders.
